AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

This aamco is under NEW MANAGEMENT/OWNERSHIP & is WORSE than it was before. Stay away go to other local actual transmission shops, & if you still are considering using them google aamco take a look at how many lawsuits and horrible cases they have against them unfortunately I got hooked by the radio commercials & big name brand & had to find out the hard way please read this & run.
I had my transmission rebuilt june of last year for $1900 at a discounted rate due to a referral fee still over priced, with a 1 year warranty, I was told I could not receive an extended warranty due to my vehicle being a 4x4, but was offered an 18 month warranty after the transmission went out the 3rd time at exactly a year, for another $1500 because I was 3k miles over the warranty, even though the transmission had gone out 5 months after the 1st time it was rebuilt, the manager at that time Mike was very helpful, and professional. I was thinking ok this time it was rebuilt right, but no it goes out the 3rd time at exactly a year & of course mike is no longer there, under new management /ownership. Now they are claiming negligence on my part & a new diagnostic was given & want me to pay another $15000 with an 18 month warranty which wasn't offered the 1st or 2nd time, or 1k with no warranty, I asked for 1k with a 12 month and they said no, or they offered to put in a used transmission, what kind of transmission specialist offers a used transmission that hasn't been rebuilt, or won't budge to try make things right on a transmission that went out 3 times within a year with barely 3k miles over, ones that don't believe in their craft, that don't take pride in their work, that don't care about there customers or their customer's vehicles, that won't do whatever it takes and make it right, just ones that care about the all mighty dollar burn em & turn em. Corporate was no help. Save yourself some money & headaches, don't go with this big name brand because that's all they are.

I have no idea what this guy is talking about I've been going here for years with both of my cars and my family and I are never disappointed. What reviews are you talking about their all good.

'Nough said! I had them check out my check engine light for FREE like their sign said and it turned out i forgot to click my gas cap on. they turned off the light for free.

My car for a while had been falling in and out of gear while I was driving at a constant speed. I called around to other shops for an idea on what it would cost to fix a problem like this. Every transmission shop I called tried to sell me a transmission. When I was venting my frustration at the cost I was about to incur to my friend she told me to take it to AAMCO and stop wasting my time. They fit me in the day I called and looked at it for free. Then they called me back a short while later and told me that I only needed a new sensor and that my total bill would be under $200. They stuck to their word on the bill and fixed it in a reasonable time. I came in prepared to hear I needed a new transmission and they only sold me what I really needed at a fair price.

I went this AAMCO after going to 2 different mechanics who never fixed my problem even though they said they did. They were so nice and friendly and quickly put me at ease that they would find and fix the problem. The quickly fixed my problem and even did some other repairs as well. They were fair in the way they do business and their prices. I'll be going to them from now on for all my car problems!
