5th Street Steak House

Great Servie and always great food. A must stop when you are in Chico. The wasabi sauce for the steak is to die for.

Great atmosphere for socializing out! Drinks are good, but the food isn't the best for the price of it.

When my husband was alive we used to eat here a lot and it was always always excellent food and great service

This restaurant never disappoints. My favorite is the steakhouse surf and turf with the fillet and giant prawns and the most amazing sauce, it's indescribable you just have to try it! It's a little pricey but if you want something more affordable the calamari is the best I've ever had and the bar burger, Yum. We love coming here for cocktails and wine. It has a wonderful steakhouse atmosphere I love it when they have live music. The patio is also lovely when the weather is nice. I think fifth Street steakhouse is the best Chico has to offer for special occasion dining.

10/18/13: A lot has changed since I used to go years ago.

The food is not the quality or quantity they charge for. I had garlic mashed potatoes that had obviously been plated and sat under a heat lamp waiting for my tiny steak and slipper lobster to be plated.

They charged just like they did in the old days but back then the potatoes would have been fresh and creamy inside and out (not crusted over from drying out) and the steak would have been worthy of the price charged. The lobster was tiny too.

For the money, we would have had a better bet going to Red Lobster or some chain for a simular meal for a cheaper price.

I found a new place outside of Sacramento. Not a chain. Expensive and worth every penny.

It will be worth the drive. Sorry 5th Street. You used to be a 5, now you are a 3.

































5th Street either has changed hands in the last few years or they just figure people are used to their high prices and won't squawk.

If I pay that much for a meal, it needs to be as I would cook or preferably BETTER. I was sorely disapointed having taken a friend who had never been there.

This place serves some of the best steaks in town- absolutely great. However, it's located in an old brick building, and the noise gets really loud quickly- especially on the weekends. The patio dining during the summer weekends is great.

My 1st time here ambiance was nice, but soon over taken by the noise. The Steak was good not great I've had better for less the price, and being nickeled & dime that way if you wanted something with the steak?

The best steak in Chico. Great Ambiance, but you'll have to wait a while for a table on the weekend. Very popular. The Surf and Turf is awesome!

The News & Review got it right. This is the best Restaurant in town.

John at the Bar was effecient and friendly, Debbie took care of our every need at the table, and even Mike the owner came over to make sure we were well taken care of.

You will love this place!

If you are a Big Steak Lover this is the place for you..So tender it melts in your mouth. Very upscale place to be.
