This was my first spa experience, and I had the works. I am wondering why I didn't do this sooner. I am hooked. My girlfriend gave me a gift certificate as a birthday gift, and now I go on a monthly basis. This place is absolutely awesome!!
@sherry1333....you could not be referring to Veola's on 95th street...my grandmother, mother and I are long time clients, and we absolutely love it. We have been going there for the past 3 years, and every experience has been enjoyable. In fact, I have purchased numerous gift certificates for friends and family, and each person not only enjoyed themselves, but they referred the spa to other people. I'm sorry that you felt your experience wasn't as enjoyable, but I personally know Veola to be a kind and considerate person.
I went to Veola's for a facial, a no chip manicure and a massage. My facial was HORRIBLE. The owner veola kept running her mouth and talking about politics and complaining about her employee's all while I was trying my best to relax! I go to day spa's to relax and unwind, but this lady could not shut up to save her life. The massage was lovely. My therapist Alethea had the perfect touch, and a professional warm spirit. She was so kind that she ALMOST made up for it. Also the nail tech was also very nice, and she did a great job on my feet, but nothing could drive me back to this place! I mean nothing! The sponges that Veola used on my face, smelled horrible! I could tell that they were used. I am contemplating calling the state board on her, but the only reason I wont is because, I did overall have a good experience with the other two ladies.
Dirty, hard selling, and unfriendly! I came here because my students purchased a gift a card for me. Well the owner did not want to honor it. No matter what service I choose; Massage, tub treatment, hair services etc... She said no She said that I couldn't have any of the services because of the fact that my family had high blood pressure! The owner was very rude and nasty.
