DePaul students love Uncle Sammy's since it's located so close to campus. A lot of students work here as well, so service is always laid-back and friendly. These subs are big, more filling than Subway or Jimmy John's and they have some creative flavors. The Pilgrim stands out as most unique - it's a Thanksgiving sub with turkey breast, raisin her stuffing, cranberry sauce and mayo. Oh, and their huge Ghiradelli brownies. Totally to die for.

Great catering option

Probably the freshest sandwiches I have ever ordered. The bread was still warm from baking when it arrived. The delivery driver told me they bake the bread for every catering order right befr ethey make it. Well done! The quality of the ingredients was impressive especially at such a low price. Apparently they have an equally impressive list of clientele.

The service here is the real reason I come back again and again. First of all, they are open late everyday. They deliver their sandwiches quickly and don't charge a fee. How can they do that? I wish I could find a pizza place that was as fast, friendly, and efficient as uncle sammys.

I love a good sandwich but Uncle Sammy's is the best sandwich in the Lincoln Park area. I work at Children's Memorial and used to order from Potbelly's but now I order from here at least once a week from Sammy's Sandwich Place. It's got a small menu but the bread, usually still warm from the oven gets delivered in about 10-15 minutes from when I call. One time it was about 25 minutes and the delivery guy apologized. I thought he was being smart but realized he was serious. I practically arm wrestled him to take the tip. Now that's service! Check out the Little Italy or the albequerque turkey. Also the brownies are huge and only a buck!

best sandwich in lincoln park!
Despite the proliferation of good sandwich places in Lincoln Park, this one takes the cake, or the brownie if you will. This company uses brownies as the ice breaker when marketing people in the neighborhood. And they are awesome! This led me to try the sandwiches which proved to be as good as the brownies. What really makes th sandwiches at uncle sammys different is the high quality meats "name brand" and the bread which had just been baked whn the girl made my sandwich. It should also be said that the staff were some of the nicest people that have ever served me especially in a fast food setting.
