I've gone to Trinity Bar a few times with my friends and we always have a good time! Fun, laidback atmosphere and always a good crowd. I've tried the food a few times and really liked it and you can almost always find a good special any day of the week!

I've also found this cool site called Poggled that works with Trinity Bar and other bars in the Chi and they get awesome deals for you. They had a Midwestern beer tasting before that was really cool and I think they have more events coming up in the future! should def check out the site and MOST DEFINITELY should check out Trinity Bar! Guaranteed awesome time :)
I had a very disappointing experience at Trinity. I am very much a planaholic so when I choose Trinity to host a party I had researched a lot of place & due to price/location/atmosphere and availability of room reservation thought it would be perfect. I spoke to management about reserving the down stairs room and was told to give a deposit & that as long as I had 20 guests buy a drink package it wouldn?t be cashed. I even double checked the day before because there was a Blackhawks game & was told that when my party started the room would be cleared for us to be down there but of course other guests could come in, which was fine with me I just wanted to guarantee enough tables for my guests & proximity to the bar. The night of was a different story. We were told we couldn?t reserve the room, that the deposit was for the drink package, that it wasn?t management nor the bouncers job to clear the room and that we couldn?t reserve tables. We waited 45 minutes until anything was done being given different stories by everyone I spoke to. Management didn?t handle the situation very well at all. It was SO packed that although they did finally get us our tables (which pissed off every other patron down stairs who had staked them out for hours) once seated we couldn?t MOVE. The bartender wouldn?t give multiple drinks even though other people who had bought the drink package couldn?t get out of the booths or through the crowd. It was a miserable experience and I will never go there again. I was glad that the bouncer was very nice & tried to be accommodating and management finally told me they would not deposit the check sense I had friends that were texting stating they waited outside for 45 mins in line and couldn?t get in. In general had management been clear that if there was a fight or game that all bets were off I wouldn?t have put a deposit on a room OR have my party at this location. I made NUMEROUS calls to management during the time I was planning the event to get all my facts straight & they could have told me of this possibility.\r
\r
There were table tents STATING that room reservation was FREE for private parties, I don't understand why I was treated differently on arrival just because of the hockey game & fight. The room was what sold me on Trinity because I could have had the same drink package at other Lincoln Park bars. Just over all disappointing how we were treated although we brought in over $400 in drink packages and tipped our bartender very well even under the rediculous circumstances. \r
\r
Prices are very reasonable, but I would never suggest hosting a party here on a FRI/SAT.\r
\r
I went to Trinity for a friends birthday and the atmosphere was very laid back and it was extremely easy to get a drink at the packed place. The specials were incredible for a Saturday night ($3 Stoli and $2/$3 beers). However the bad part was the smell, i'm not sure if someone was throwing stink bombs periodically or what but it was god awful. The bathrooms were not very well maintained so if you have to go...hold it ladies!
The trinity definitely had the chill vibe I was looking for last week to have a couple of innocent drinks with friends. We tried a number of their appetizers and were quit pleased.\r
\r
The Hummus Dip was extremely good. IDK what they do with their bread but that bread MADE the appetizer. \r
The mozzarella sticks were very tasty. The cheese inside was warm and awesome. The outside fried layer was just right.\r
The spinach and artichoke did was alright. I prefer more artichoke than spinach. Maybe you like it the other way around. \r
The French fries were less than spectacular. Please do not go their just for the fries.\r
The Nachos were missing quac. Have can you have nachos without the guac.\r
\r
Now the bartenders were great!! Great servers!! They actually enjoy talking to their guests!!!! Thank you ladies.
Out and about with the hubby on a Saturday night we were looking for a good non-smoking bar to go to. With me being pregnant there aren't alot of options of things for me to do at night on the weekends that doesn't include getting tons of second hand smoke from some of chicago's greatest establishments. So after looking on citysearch we found Trinity after looking for nonsmoking bars, which is perfect for this soon to be mom not wanting to inhale smoke. We met up with our friends and were instantly impressed with the atmosphere, cost of drinks and the grub they had. All in all it was a really fun night. I am looking forward to the law passing after jan 1 where everything will be non smoking, but until then, Trinity is my place!
I love this place because it is a great REGULAR bar -- no drunk frat boys in ballcaps -- just folks looking for a good time! They have the best food and is a great place to go on a saturday to watch college football, eat and chill without having to squeeze in to an overcrowded mess. Try the Grilled Chz sand with waffle fries -- its the best in the city!
As a bartender I look for good prices, food, and service. Peg Legs is my new favorite bar, and Steven is my new favorite bartener. The food is worth back the trip alone, and the atmosphere is that much better. Lunch, before a Cubs game, cocktails after work...this is my favorite spot in the city
Went here for the first time. Wait staff was SO attentive, they were really GOOD. And the bar food there was FABULOUS. A man who was shopping down the road recommended the place to me. I was NOT disappointed. And the prices...cheap, cheap, cheap.
Just read editor's take on Peg Legs and it is wrong! I've been in many area bars and this one is always fun, not dingy or a drafty dive bar. I've gone there for private parties and with friends on the weekends and have always had a great time.
