Mr. Transmission

Took my Pontiac gxp 2008 to Mr Transmission about a month ago. I wanted to wait and see how my car runs before I write a review. At first I was very upset with them, I had my car somewhere else and they quoted me a price of $2500,00 to fix or rebuild my trans. I called Mr. transmission on 92nd Stony Island and they said they would beat the price. So i took my car to them., they checked it out and decided my trans was gone. need to rebuild it, They won't start on the car until you give them half down, gave them $900.00 within 2hrs. This was on a Saturday labor day weekend, Wednesday I passed by the shop and my car is in the same spot it was in Saturday. they finally get my car on the lift and of course it is no longer the price they quoted me,, it's going to cost 2300,00 no problem I take them 1400.00 cash that day. thinking they'd hurry and fix my car, no such luck. All in all I think they had my car 10 day. The day I picked it up, it was slow dragging couldn't get enough gas, I took it back and they said something needed cleaning off and they did it, which solved the problem. I brought this car used 4yrs prior to this problem, And after they fixed my transmission, I believe the car was sold to me with a bad trans, because after Mr,transmission fixed my trans, it runs like a new car. This car never ran so good, It was money well spent, I would recommend anyone that has trans problems to take your car there. They may be a little pricey but its worth every cent when your car is done right. I highly recommend them and I do not do that often. They are good at what they do, you just have to have patients and let them do their job. They are experts with their work in my book. No complaint with my results. Oh and I passed the emissions test with flying colors. Thank you MR. Transmission on Stony Island

I've been to Mr. Transmission twice. I recieved the run around for a week or so. Their prices are very high. I would recommend doing a price match for the service before I take my car there again.

My transmission torque converter was going bad witch left metal shave in my valve body, also the transmission was not getting weak signal from the computer...Took it to Mr stoney island they never followed up on any info regarding my truck it sat down there A week & A half....ThenI had to do all the checking up....They did not fix the problem they just purged the debris out & charged me 369.58$ a week later same problem...When I called back he said "yeah you transmission might be going bad"...Took it to Citywide transmission on hauls Ted they diagnosis the problem & fix it right the first time...If you just want to donate your money & waste your time then go there...Think they so use to ripping peaple off they became careless..

This place is a total ripoff! I brought my 2007 Acura in for a second opinion. They said they could repair the transmission rather than replace it. So $3200 dollars later after an $1800 estimate the car never drove off the lot. I had to take it somewhere else to get it running and they have not refunded one dime! Stay away from these ripoff artists!!! All they said was sorry about your luck!!!

they fixed my jaguar XJ8's transmission. it was really cheap compared to what some people quoted me.

They fixed my car for emissions. I was at my Chevy dealer and was told it was going to be like 1500 to fix my car, and I left. I came here they were half the money, and when I got my car back they already had it emissions tested. I would not say the were the fastest, I brought my car in on wednesday morning, and they gave me it back on thursday afternoon. they said they had to order parts

I had many bad experiances wuth other shops. I have a 2000 monticarlo that leaked antifreeze. i had two shops put water pumps and hoses and all kinds of things on my car. I spent over 1000.00 tring to fix my leak.



These guuys knew with out seeing the car what was wrong, and fixed right. i didnt have to come back and tell them it's leaking. because it wasnt. and that was about time.

I found this shop, and am great full i did. Matt and Mark were both knowledgeable, and professional. The cost of the repair was lower than market value, and the work was exceptional. I found my local repair shop. it right here. A+++++
