Since the store opened back in September 2003 they had problems. First off, that Drive Thru is HORRIBALLY DESIGNED and the WORST THING THAT A STARBUCKS CAN HAVE, taking away that ""3rd place experience"". Not only that, but it's RUDE CUSTOMERS that come in and the smelly bums they get on occation. They haven't even vacumed their purple plush chairs since Day 1, not to mention the tops of their equipment which are FULL OF DUST!!! But what is ths absolute worst is the MANAGEMENT!!! I hear they promote people out of favoritism. In one case one ""partner"" became bff with the assistant manager and she got promoted over people who worked their longer than she has, not to mention being awarded ""Partner of the Quarter"". People have strained their backs and had to work because the manager FORCED them to unless a substitute was found (in most cases, none were available). Another person's friend died and management would NOT let him take off to go to his wake or funeral. WHAT BS IS THAT?!?! THE PERSON'S FRIEND DIED AND YOU'RE MAKING THEM WORK?!?! I'd call the Department of Labor on that case. And what's with these ""pins""? They're a popularity contest too. THE WHOLE F'N MANAGEMENT IS ONE BIG POPULARITY CONTEST and if you're not in with the ""cliq"" then you better find another job. Did I mention, they hire prostitutes? I swear, several prostitutes have worked at this store since it opened. They're UNHEALTHY, UNETHICAL, BIASED, PREJUDICE, AND EVERY NEGATIVE WORD YOU CAN THINK OF!!! The only thing that's keeping those ""baristas"" there are the benefits they offer. Sure, let the college people have a job there but it's PITIFUL how these graduates don't move onto another job that's worth while. Even those who are in their 30s and up who have a job there that can't find a REAL job are PITIFUL.
