Our Psychiatric Home Health program offers psychiatric nursing services to help patients and their caregivers coping with depression, dementia, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia and a variety of other psychiatric illnesses. Certified psychiatric nurses work closely with the patient, family, and physician or psychiatrist to develop a specific treatment plan to provide counseling and intervention, prevent hospitalizations, coordinate access to community mental health services, and give patients the tools they need to improve their quality of life.

Our chemotherapy nurses are responsible for assessing patients pre-, during and post-chemotherapy. The chemotherapy nurse is able to understand pathology results and their implications, and have an in-depth knowledge of the expected side effects of chemotherapy treatments.

Wound Care
At Apple Home Healthcare, we pride ourselves in practicing a holistic approach to wound care. Hip Replacement
One of our most recent and notable partnerships is with Illinois Bone and Joint (IBJI). Our agency was one of a few elite home healthcare agencies selected to participate in the bundled payments model through Medicare called New Care Improvement Initiative alongside Illinois Bone and Joint Institute. Apple Home Healthcare and Illinois Bone and Joint Institute collaborate to give patients access to streamlined care including all pre- and post-operative care involved in total knee and hip replacement. The goal of this Medicare-driven initiative is to lower healthcare costs and reduce readmissions by providing our orthopedic patients with high-quality, efficient, and coordinated care.
