I have taken my Bichon twice to be groomed at the Clybourn location and both times it was a disaster. The first, I dropped my dog off and returned several hours later to pick him up, where I found him to be ungroomed. When I questioned why he hadn't had his hair cut, the groomer told me that she thought I only wanted him bathed. I was surprised because I had specifically written on the card that I wanted the treatment including a bath, haircut, and nail trimming. When I asked why she though that, she got defensive and told me she was understaffed. I then had to wait another 1/2 hr while she groomed my dog, and still had to pay the full $40.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt since I had been told they were understaffed, so I tried them a second time. The groomer this time around was a man and right away he seemed unqualified. I specified that I wanted me dog's hair the same basically, just shorter. He was unsatisfied with this, and kept asking me again and again how I wanted my dog's hair cut. I finally told him I liked his hair to be a bit shaggier, but it just needed to be shorter. When I returned to pick up my dog a few hours later, I was horrified to find him shaved nearly bald. Needless to say, I won't be taking my dog there again. They seem very disorganized and somewhat incompetent.
