    Catering too!

    Provided by

The food is great and affordable- no question. But what's really impressive is their catering. Great choices, large portions, and again- AFFORDABLE. They are always professional and the service is noteworthy. Take advantage of it!

    MULTIPLE HUMAN HAIRS IN PASTA!!

    Provided by

We decided to get take out from here based on a friends recommendation, we each got the Farfalle Pollo as takeout. While we were eating, each of us noticed at least 5-6 short black human hairs in the pasta, DISGUSTING! Both of us wanted to toss our lunch. We called them back and they offered us the same pasta again if we came back which we promptly turned down, who wants to eat at a place that lets hair in its food, not just one but 5+ hairs in EACH dish. Horrible, we would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. We reported them via Chicago 311 and will report them to the board of health.

Great Food Terrible Loyal Customer Service

    Provided by

Four eight years or so we have been a loyal customer to pasta bowl eating in, carry out and delivery.\r \r Today we were told that even though we were in the system and a regular customer the fact that our address was 3430 and not 3400 we could not get delivery.\r \r It is funny that a store in a depressed economy is able to refuse customers?\r \r Even after speaking with two of the managers and offering to walk to the corner they would not delivery to us.\r \r As we have a new baby it makes it harder to just jump in the car and pick up something.\r \r The food is good but I cannot recommend the collage kid mentality of the managers who actually hung up on me without me being upset or rude?\r \r We will make it a point to patron other Italian restaurants in the City where we are desired as a customer.\r

    Harrassing Wait Staff!!!!!!!!

    Provided by

Hello All, A few co-workers and I had the worst humiliation ever at the Pasta Bowl. After our meal, a waiter rushed behind us, complaining about his tip!!!! He demanded more money in front of other customers and his fellow co-workers! If you do decide on eating at the Pasta Bowl, be prepared to be confronted about the tip you leave behind! No joke!

    Great Food, Great Price

    Provided by

I've been here several times and I've never been disappointed. They've recently updated some of their menu, and added a couple of their most popular specials to the regular menu. I was there with my girlfriend and we had a great time. I had the Gnocchi, and she had their version of Mac 'n Cheese. Both were great! Even though the place was really busy, our server Jeff took care of us and got us fed quickly. He was extremely knowledgable about the food as well. Great place for a casual night out!

    great food, good deal

    Provided by

If you're craving really fresh and fast Italian, this is the place! You can see you're food prepared in their open kitchen and it's ready in no time. PB even has good for you options with delicious oil free sauces and whole wheat pasta options. My husband and I love this place. Where else in Lincoln Park can you get a bottle of wine and two great Italian dishes for about $30--incredible! Also great for take out.

    too good

    Provided by

TPB features easily the best alfredo in the city (imagine: REAL parmesan!), friendly/engaging staff, and good prices. I went there a few weeks ago, by myself, gorged myself on alfredo and pinot grigio, and then had a few beers at The Other Side. By the time I left, I felt like I was best friends with the entire staff, I had dropped so little money and I had my leftovers to look forward to. Top 5 best places in the city.

    Great food, friendly staff

I went to this pasta joint last night and loved it. The food was really fresh, the staff was sincere and fast and the price was very reasonable. Being a solo diner, I appreciated the counter seating area and it was great entertainment watching the chefs at work. This place is a find, I'll be back many times!

    Cheap but awesome

    Provided by

I can not do anything but rave about this place. For under $15 I can get an awesome bowl of pasta which is more than enough, an awesome salad which I can share, and a glass of wine. But why would I want wine if I can get unlimited refills on soda and the staff does keep on refilling! Plus, they do not charge anything to add ingrediants, and the ingrediants are fresh!! They also will make more or less any pasta dish as long as they have the ingrediants.Plus I am a regular, and unlike many restaruants in chicago, the staff remembers me. This place is awesome and if you are in the area, I would definatly stop by. The only con is that they are cash only and the parking is a bit tough!

    Good pasta, great value!

    Provided by

You won't find Italian food of this quality for a better price anywhere, guaranteed. Service is friendly and efficient, ambience is casual and simple. My personal favorite dish is the Farfalle Pollo. Other good bets are the Linguine Pesto, Rigatoni Bolognese and Conchiglie Gorgonzola. The gnocchi, tortellini, and ravioli are made fresh on premises and come with your choice of sauce. Entrees are mostly $5-$6 but keep in mind that if you want salad, etc. it's a la carte. Still, the value is incredible! Great place for a quick bite. This place is truly one of Chicago's best-kept secrets.

    Excellent pasta

    Provided by

The food is excellent. The alfredo sauce is delicious. The food is just as good as what you get for twice the price at other Italian restaurants.
