We've been going to Moretti's with our friends for years now. The huge outdoor patio definitely lures in the crowds during the warm months. But whether you're enjoying your meal on the patio or watching the many screens inside, the food has always been consistently good and it's very casual, making this place a local favorite. The stuffed Asiago Crust pizza is yummy (note: only comes with the thin crust varieties) and there's something on the drink menu for any unpretenious taste. It's a real relaxing/be yourself atmosphere that any age group would find enjoyable. They just even accomodated my 'very' last minute reservations of a dozen people for tonight without the snotty, ""Next time..."" speech at the end. Oh, parking...they do have valet and there's street parking available which can be hard to find at times, BUT the Metra lot at the intersection allows Moretti's customers to park it (just look for the Moretti's sign at the entrance).
I definitely recommend this place. Good food, nice atmposphere and friendly waitstaff. With TV's just about everywhere, you'll always catch whatever game you're looking for. Oh - and check out the beer garden in the warmer months!

I live on the far Northwest side of Chicago, and I am not particularly fond of going downtown to go clubbing or to get a bite to eat. Fortunately, the Edison Park neighborhood has a pretty good assortment of bars and restaurants. Many of these establishments have sort of an urban feel to them, so you don't have to feel like the pathetic suburbanite that you are. Anyhow, I've been to Moretti's on numerous occasions, and I've also ordered take-out several times. I really, really like their thin-crust pizza. I agree that in Chicago, you can hardly call it the best pizza in town, but I'm still very fond of it. I've also gone here once or twice after second shift with some co-workers, and it's a perfectly acceptable place to have a few beers.

Ok, here's what you get: a large outdoor dining space that everyone flocks to in Spring/summer so they can sit outside. A large bar/restaurant inside with tons of big screens so everyone flocks here in Fall to watch games. You get ok food, weak drinks(stay away from any fruity blender type thing-seems to have no alcohol at all) that are pricey, and slow service. But, you get to sit outside and people watch. Some of the female patrons use this place to parade their racier fashions. And the food isnt so bad that you wont come back. Easy parking aorund restaurant/esaier if you head across the tracks. The only really kid-friendly place in the area. Jeans to suits-you'll see it all...

This is a pretty decent place to eat and hang out.The staff however needs to be a little more vigilant in their efforts or lack thereof. The staff is predominated by college kids trying to earn some play money I should imagine. They however seem to use this premises as their oun little hang out corner. There is nothing more aggravating as to need a water refill and not be able to catch a servers attention when a veritable gang of them are hanging out in deep conversation at the end of the bar.Morretti,s could be so much more with just a little effort. Why do large establishments like this put their washroom facilities downstairs in the basement.Serve your customers copious ammounts of alcohol and then have them navigate downstairs to the potty. It,s got law suit written all over it.

Moretti's is about what you would expect of a sports bar and grill place: Comfortable bar and beergarden, lots-o'-sports, a top-tier NTN trivia team, pretty waitresses, and palatable food. In fairness, the daily specials, ranging from dinner salads, exotic appetizers, sandwiches, and main courses, are a step up from the regular menufare. Their pizza is decent, but not standout quality. Some (not all) of the waitstaff leave you feeling they're doing you a big favor prividing even a routine level of service. A good place for medium sized (6-10) groups and playoff games.
