    Credit Card Fraud!

    Provided by

Credit Card Fraud! Beware. I dined in in this restaurant and had a reasonable dining experience. However, I noticed later that my credit card hd been billed for a second, unauthorized charge in a large even dollar amount. I have contacted the restaurant both on the phone and in person, and am always told I have to speak to a manager. However, there is never a manager on duty (even at prime dining time on a Saturday evening!) and I have never received a phone call back, despite leaving my contact information repeatedly.\r \r Since this happened, I've looked at the reviews on Yelp!, and wish now I had done this before I went to dine there. Apparently others have had the exact same experience. Clearly there are dishonest people working at this restaurant, and I would think twice about ever stepping foot inside. \r \r I am disputing the fraudulent charge with my credit card company, and hope to get resolution that way, because it is clearly not going to come from the management of Mi Tierra.\r \r F-\r \r

    Over Charge You......

The jerks tipped themselves on my credit card once I left. I like to tip 20% in cash and they decided to forge my tip amount after I signed the bill. I will never go back!

    This place is good business!

I go about once a month. It's a fun atmosphere, has fairly priced margaritas, and great food. Muy Bueno!

Colorful and energetic place on Belmont

    Provided by

I love this restaurant. It gets packed on weekend nights, and because it's near Wrigley, it's always filled after games, but the service is friendly and as swift as possible. (Sometimes there will be a delay depending on the crowd.) The food is really quite good, too, especially if you adventure past the typical burritos. The garlicky shrimp is some of the best I've had, and the carne asada is tender and full of flavor.

    Excellent!

    Provided by

Mi Tierra has an excellent menu with a variety of dishes to choose from. I have not found a bad one yet. Although, the only dish they offer with pork is their tamales. I love the chicken enchiladas. They also have many margarita flavors to choose from, one of the longest lists I have ever seen. The friendly atmosphere has a lot to offer with its helpful service and colorful, authentic decor. I would definitely recommend Mi Tierra for the family, a date, or even just mexican food. You won't find a better mexican dining experience for this price in Chicago. Don't forget to get the fried ice cream for dessert! It is delicious and enough for two.

    Home Cooking

Mi Tierra is a classic the time its been their speaks for itself the food is authentic and taste just like Grandma use to make I recommend the Queso Panela with home made flour tortillas for an appetizer, and this place is not over priced like so many Mexican places you find in Chicago today, So if your looking for a place to take the family or just looking for good food at great price this is the spot.

    not bad at all

This spot is good for a few drinks and munching on chips. I had the tacos and wasn't disappointed, although they were nothing out of the ordinary.

    Que rico!

This is one of those jems you find as your walking down Belmont and say ""let's try it"". The service is prompt. The chips and salsa are great, but you better keep some water near-by.

    Great food, colorful setting

    Provided by

This Mexican restaurant on Belmont is welcoming and festive. Tile floors, colorful paper streamers and a waterfall give it a lively, casual feel. Chiles rellenos are some of the best I've tasted--plump and gooey with melted cheese, fried to a crisp golden brown. Chicken mole is a delicious dish, too with bone-in chunks of meat bathed in the sweet deep brown sauce. Mop it up with warm tortillas served on the side. The price is right and the service is friendly.

    Bob Goes Mexican

Great Mexican-American food and service at a good price. They have re-created a small Mexican setting, complete with waterfall and small river - Romantic.
