Chicago's Gem Shines At Night

I can tell you that coming from Fort Wayne,IN I always enjoy coming to The Joynt. When you come to Chicago,IL stop in after 9PM and listen to some great music, have a relaxing drink, and enjoy the locals company. Stanley the manager is really a great person to meet, and all of his staff has followed in his footsteps when it comes to making you feel welcome and stay longer. Come and and see for yourself.

bad drinks, worse service

When you first enter, it actually looks really nice. I had high hopes, but the service was probably the worst I'd ever had anywhere. I was there for a fundraiser for a charity. The um-teen flyers that we got (and posted everywhere since it was for a good cause) said complimentary cocktails and food and entrance is only an unwrapped toy. So we figured since kids in the hospital were getting these toys that we'd get a ... view more

Best Jazz Lounge in Chicago

This is a must visit club for every Jazz-lover in Chicago. Nice decor and and ambiance - been there last Friday for the first time - will definitely go back!

Best nightspot in downtown Chicago!‎

There is live music every night of the week at The Joynt and I love that! There is just something about the energy of watching musicians FEEL, PLAY and SING the music, and for those that don't want to dance, it gives them a performance to watch vs. just look around the room. I usually meet my girlfriends there, but even if I go alone, I have always feel safe and ""looked after"" by the staff. Everyone has always b... view more

Too Cold for Comfort

A group of us went to an event at the Joynt and had a fairly good time. The separate rooms are very nice and suitable to patron likings. The staff were great, courteous and attentive, except for a rude Latin bartender in the piano room. \r Overall we enjoyed the Jazz band, except it was to cold and we had to leave in search for heat. Burr!! \r We heard Sunday’s are very nice and we will definitely go back for anoth... view more

Boring and dead

I know Thursday's isn't the hottest night, but this place was dead, dead, dead. I often go out on Thursday and the places I usually go have a good crowd. I stopped here to check it out and my mood was instantly dampened by the emptiness of the place. I decided to leave immediately as life is too short to waste on a dead end.

Cooler than a Polar Bears Toenails... (but not in the good way)

If you like partying outside in Chicago when it's below zero, you'll love this place. Otherwise, if you are warm blooded and sane go to a place that has a functional heating system. The design of this place is horrible. While the bar itself is beautiful, the door is in a terrible place. Every time the door opens (non-stop) a rush of cold air fills the place. I went downstairs and to the side room, both were abnormall... view more

Good hunting for the girls!!!

Happened by this ""Joynt"" Tuesday with a couple of my girlfriends, great band, genuinely nice staff and a great crowd. Only the top floor was open but we went downstairs to peek at the dance area and the ""kick back"" area. Although I'm sure we'll be DOFAO I really liked the feel of the live music venue. We'll be back too!!!

Not your Daddies Club!

A long time ago my Daddy introduced me to a sophisticated piano bar at a really nice hotel. Well now at the age of 34 I own two businesses and I'm in the middle of starting a third and I decided to find my own club. It had to be nice like my fathers but not quite as old. One of my guy secretaries found this place so I loaded up a few of my girls and brought them to ""The Joynt"". Now this is a club! No street people... view more
