judit is skilled, knowledgeable and able to ""think on her feet"". positive methods are utilized. if a technique does not seem to be working with a specific dog, judit is able to propose alternate suggestions. she is flexible and will make accommodations to the student's needs. the dogs are clearly happy to participate!

If anyone is looking for the greatest facility for dogs, you need to give Dogone Fun a try. Our first two Dalmatians were raised in a house in Phoenix with a big back yard and when we moved them to Chicago downtown at the age of six and ten, they were impossible to walk and did not like socializing with other dogs. After they sadly passed of old age a little over a year ago, we opted for another Dalmatian puppy. TO THE RESCUE CAME DOGONE FUN. From the beginning, Bogart fell in love with the Staff as he spent three days a week in daycare socializing and playing with the variety of dogs and expending the pent-up energy that all puppies have. The trainer, Judit Arroyo, not only gave Bogie and I a good foundation in her ""Basics"" and ""Beyond Basics"" classes, but she also was able to do one-on-one with Bogart during his daycare days as he progressed over the first year. \r \r Now, Bogart, two years old this coming August, still LOVES his play days at Dogone Fun and we recently upped him to four days a week as the weather gets nice and he can play outdoors while we work. His excitement as we approach the play yards is so visible. The daily report cards continue to show me how much Bogie enjoys his time and also how much the Staff enjoys Bogart. And, of course, it's always fun to watch him on the webcam from my office. Just because we also enjoy them so much and love the interaction, Bogart and I just started a third training course with Judit. I really don't know what we'd do without the staff and facilities at DGF.\r \r Most people know that Dalmatians can be a handful but everyone who sees my Bogart comments how well behaved, calm and happy he is. That's all the great work and love that is Dogone Fun.\r \r Lynne and Bogart\r

I usually don't write reviews but after reading some of the negative (and shocking) reviews of Dogone Fun, I decided I needed to write something... \r \r We've been taking our dog (a 130lb. St. Bernard) to Dogone Fun for 5 years, for boarding, grooming and once in awhile, daycare. This is the best facility we have found and seen in the city (before Dogone Fun, wherever we would take her for boarding or grooming, she always returned home sick with some kind of bug - plus we were always nervous since all the other facilities never had 24/7 staff on site). \r \r The staff is so caring and attentive with all the dogs... They have 2 wonderful outdoor playareas, along with 2 indoor playareas - they are careful to group the dogs according to activity level so the dogs don't get exhausted (or harrassed by other dogs!). The facility is clean, staff is courteous and attentive... \r Their grooming department is top notch. They go above and beyond - they are super gentle and patient plus do a wonderful job with grooming.\r \r Our dog always comes home happy - she LOVES going there....

DoGone Fun has been taking care of my dog for nearly 3 years now. The attention to detail with my dog is amazing- they notice if he is not acting like himself or just not feeling well that day. It is truly remarkable that they are able to notice any issues with every single dog that is there. The facility is super clean- ask for a tour- that is what made up my mind to take my little pup there. My dog comes home tired, happy, and sometimes a bit stinky...but at least I know he is stinky from playing so much and not from sitting in a kennel all day like at other places. The best part is even after be boarded, he is still excited to return the next time...that says a lot about how much my dog loves DoGone Fun- especially since he is so attached to me that he cries when I leave a room. Thanks Dogone Fun!

The customer service is terrible. The girl at the front desk has been consistently rude to my husband and I when we have dropped our dog off for boarding. She is consistently chatting loudly and obnoxiously with the same client. I mentioned this to the owner and have yet to receive a response. \r \r My dog seems to enjoy her stays, but this particular receptionist is so awful, it isn?t worth trying to deal with her. I recommend taking your dog elsewhere.

This place is awful! My dog came back from her first play date covered in scratches. When I called to ask what happened, I was told that she had a wonderful time. I later found out she was attacked by an employee's dog! Needless to say that Bella won't be returning to Dogone Prison.

DoGone Fun is amazing! We have an overprotective German Shepherd and they've got her eating out of the palms of their hands. They've got her playing nicely with other dogs, and more important, with people. Isabelle spent her first overnight there and had a blast. She even has a German Shepherd boyfriend! Don't worry--both dogs are neutered!\r \r The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We felt perfectly comfortable leaving Isabelle there and will be doing it again soon. And it was surprisingly reasonable.

I have been a daycare and grooming client at Dogone Fun since the facility opened 5 years ago so I was very shocked to read two of the latest reviews regarding Dan Vaughn and the grooming department. Our dog is a Burnese Mountain dog weighing 120 lbs. He's very afraid of grooming and is very uncooperative. The entire grooming department is always very professional and calm, easing my dog into the room and then into the tub. Sometimes the daycare staff comes in to help lift him into the tub. The bathers are reassuring, gentle and very thorough. Contrary to the earlier reviewer's claim, the grooming department was light, organized, and very clean. I watched the entire procedure through the window. It is not true that the shades are drawn. Anyone is welcome to observe thru the glass. All the groomers appear very capable and knowledgable of different breed cuts. And the bonus is that Dan is one of the kindest individuals ever. He goes above an beyond to accomodate his clients. His knowledge of dogs and their quirks, and ailments is endless. He is respected by the clients who I've gotten to know over the years. Most say they would not take their dogs to anyone else. My dog comes out of the grooming department looking like a champion. His tail is wagging and he is relaxed and happy. He is no longer so fearful becuase of the care he gets from the grooming staff at Dogone Fun!

Well, where do I begin. Dan and the grooming team at DoGone Fun offers the best gromming services in Chicago. Not only is Dan a great groomer (my dog always looks GREAT) he is extremely knowledgable about dogs' breed and always explains, in detail, your dog's hair texture, what can happen if your dog is stressed, why it may take a long time to groom a small dog, etc. I think some people fail to realize that the size of the dog does not matter while a dog is being groomed. Dan has always taken special care of my dog and even manages to squeeze him in for a last minute appointment (thanks Cassie, too :-) Even more important, Dan is honest. He will tell you exactly what is going on with your dog and why its important for you to follow up with him and/or your vet on certain issues. \r \r The staff at DoGone Fun is amazing and gives attention like I've never seen anywhere else. They take the time to notify clients during any animal outbreak medical conditions and even have an on-sight vet who is available to see your dog in case of an emergency. I can't ever imagine taking my dog anywhere else for grooming, daycare or boarding. Cassie, the Customer Service Manager gives the best service even in situations where I've witnessed other customers (phone and in person) verbally attack her and she still remains professional. The front desk staff (Lauren, Alyssa and Rachel) have always met my needs without question or complaint. The daycare staff has a special place in dog's heart because he loves them all (especially Keith, Kyle and Anna). \r \r I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DoGone Fun to anyone looking for good quality grooming, daycare and/or boarding. \r \r I want to give a special thank you to everyone at DoGone Fun (especially the grooming team and his BFF Truman) who took care of Max and let him hang out while he not able to play with his dog pals.

I take my puppy here a couple of times a week for daycare and she loves it. I often watch the webcam and it is so much fun to watch her play during the day.\r The staff has always been super friendly and after touring many day cares this one was the cleanest by far. We also do training and grooming here and they have been great too.

This place has great staff that is great with my dog! I was having issues with my dog's skin and a young lady at the desk suggested a grain allergy- sure enough that solved the problem, my vet didn't even suggest a grain allergy but jumoed straight to I/D. Thanks Dogone Fun- we love you!!

although I can not speak to the customer service side of doggone fun I feel compelled to adress the issue of training based on the last review I read. I have known Laura Monaco professionally for over 10 years. She is an excellent positive reinforcement trainer with credentials that speak for themselves. There are different types of training out there, some not so positive, and I am not sure what the expectations of the individual that made the comment. In addition to being CPDT certified, Laura Monaco's experience training includes 3 of the country's top animal facilities: Shedd Aquarium, San Diego Zoo and Brookfield Zoo. She is well known and respected within the zoo and dog training community and Doggone fun is very lucky to have her. I am basing my assessment of her skills through my own experience training animals for the past 13 years. For the person that was told otherwise, I am sorry that you were so misinformed. I am confident that Doggone Fun will work to rectify any negativity expressed by the staff quickly. If you choose to disregard their training services because of a single individual that is your choice, however, you will be missing out on a wonderful opportunity for you and your dog to work with one of the best trainers out there.

I have been here before and the lady that helped me was very nice so i came back recentley to ask about the Trainig services they had and the man that helped me told me that Laura Monaco (the trainer) was not a good trainer and he does not recommend her services, I was so shocked with what i heard i don't want to ever come back to this facility and would not recommend it.

I've been taking my dog for training with Laura, and I am very, very happy. She uses all positive methods, and is very encouraging, which has worked well for my dog. We really look forward to each week's lesson and will be signing up for the next session as well.\r \r My only complaint is that they are not always particularly accomodating to customers. I called to make a grooming appointment (just to trim his nails) before or after a class, and was told they had no openings at that time for two weeks! I understand that Saturday appointments are popular, but it only takes a few minutes to trim nails, and we're already coming over for the class. It would have been nice to feel accomodated.

I have recently started using this facility for daycare for my dog. There is plenty of room for the dogs to run around and tons of dogs for my pet to play with. Additionally they let me know exactly how my dog does each day, including telling me the other dogs my pet plays with. I have found most of the staff to be helpful and knowledgeable. The only complaint I would have is that I receive little acknowledgement or help from the person in the front office when I drop my dog off. The person is clearly more interested in her computer screen and chatting casually on the phone.

My wife and I have been taking our Golden Retriever there for more than 5 years and have never had anything but great care and service for him. He takes medication daily and has prescription-only dog food so Dogone is the only place we feel safe leaving him weather for just a day of fun in daycare or when we travel. The facility is always clean, the staff are attentive and know our dog and us whenever we're there so we feel more than just another dog or owner among many and you can't say that about many places anymore. What's also great is the web cam they have so you can see your dog throughout the day when you are gone. Whether the dogs are outside or inside while traveling or even for just daycare this is a really nice feature. We've tried other daycare and boarding facilities in the city of the years and this is the only place our dog literally pulls us into when we tell him he's going and he comes home and sleeps for two days since he plays so hard.

I am sick and tired of bad services. I love my dog so much, she is my only company. I want her to have a great life. So I decided to look for a ""good place"" . I took her to dogone fun. And that was a mistake. Now she is sick and scare of any dogs and people. This place is creepy. I complained and nobody call me back or anything. And you still want to take your precious pet here? you are crazy if you do.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE REVIEWS FOR BEST PET SERVICES.\r THIS PLACE IS A NIGHTMARE FOR ANY ANIMAL. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. AND ON TOP OF THAT VEY LITTLE SKILL FOR SMALL DETAILS. MY DOG WAS HAPPY TO SEE ME AND ALSO, AS OTHER REVIEW, MY BABY WAS EXTREMALY THIRSTY. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS GOING IN THIS PLACE, BUT I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMIE.\r WHAT A JOKE.

This place has the best service! I started to come in about 3 months ago for some dog food, I had no idea about how important it is. But the young lady that is there every morning was very helpful she explained everything so well and is always a joy to see. I come all the way from Rogers Park even though I found places much closer to me just for the great service I have always recieved. I decided to write this because I seen what others are saying and I completley disagree.

I've been bringing my dog (now three years old) to Dogone Fun for day care (every day of the week) since she was eight months old. Overall, my experience has been very good. The staff are friendly, courteous, professional and dog lovers themselves. Whenever I have noted issues or concerns, the owners have ALWAYS been accessible which is very important to me, since NO business is ever perfect. Wendy is usually the first person I see in the morning at the reception desk and Raymond is usually the last in the evening - both people are highlights of my day. My dog doesn't go to training but Laura , the on-site trainer, always manages to show my dog affection when she has a spare moment. The other staff members are awesome too - I just can't name them all! \r \r My dog has special health issues and the staff has been very good about catering to these special needs.\r \r This daycare is like another home for my dog and the staff (including the grooming staff) is like her extended family. I think she would suffer tremendously if she didn't come there as often as she does. \r I will continue to bring my ""precious cargo"" to this daycare until they give me a reason to do otherwise.\r \r PROS: Indoor/ Outdoor play areas, On-site grooming, on-site training, parking, daily hours, boarding, loving staff.\r
