GOT ROBED WHILE TEMPORARILY WORKING THERE AND RECEIVED NO APOLOGY FOR THE CRIME OR ASSISTANCE IN MY PRESSING CHARGES! The story goes: I went to work for The Crocodile as a flyer passer-outer as only a temporary job. First off, I would like to say getting hired for the position was horrible service as the advertisement clearly stated at 4 was the interviews and I had to wait around until five for not even the original person who was suppose to conduct the interviews to show up and interview me. Anyway, I got the position and worked that Saturday only to discover after my shift that my purse had been broken into and I was robed. My iPod and two debit cards where clearly missing from my purse. After calling back the bar, the establishment did little to help. I called them back immediately after the discovery and they said they would look through the security tapes that day but they never got back to me. I came back in on Sunday and still got little sympathy or assistance. The cops came and the thieves turned out to be cooks working there. They were caught on the security video going through my purse. What does the bar do about this, well nothing. I receive no formal apology from the manager of the bar, no assistance in my court case, and no sense of compensation. Also, while pressing charge for my robbery, one of the employees mention that the person excused of stealing from me had TAKEN MONEY from the register before and yet NOTHING was done about that previously. Clearly, the bar has staffing and customer service problems. Also I will tell you the atmosphere and the food itself isn't all that amazing. My advice don't go to this bar, there are plenty of bars in Chicago and they provide a much better experience.
