Hair stylist...not just cutter

I recently went to C Salon on a friend's recommendation. I was perfectly content with my previous stylist but I was just interested in trying something new. Aaron actually sat down with me, had a conversation with me face-to-face while I sipped my coffee so we could discuss what I was looking for. We considered my lifestyle, career and desires. He took his time, listened to me and gave me the best cut I have had in 3 years. What impressed me was that he actually listened as opposed to pigeon-holing my cut into one of 5 bucket styles. I walked away with a cut that my friends and (more importantly) my husband loved. I'm definitely hooked.

After literally -years- of on and off relationships with stylists and salons, I have to say - I have found 'the one."" Dineen is an absolute expert at keeping my color and cut looking perfect. I have been going to her for about two years now, and I have never received more compliments or felt better about my hair. She is the best!

i admit it. i have hairdresser commitmentphobia. i have been to so many different hairdressers, that if i made a list of them, it would be shameful. but, after moving to the west loop, i needed a hairdresser that was close. i was tired of trekking all over the city. i looked online for what salon had discounted offers (don't tell me you don't do this). so, i chose c salon, they had a coupon. and i'm really fussy about my hair, but again, i have commitment issues. but, i digress... anyway, i have worked in a salon, my mother was a hairdresser, have 3 girlfriends that are hairdressers, i'm surrounded by hairdressers...so, i know what i want. i've had a lot of people cut my hair. but then i found dineen. the one! dineen has been cutting and coloring my hair for the last year (omg!) and after every appointment i never leave less than 110% satisfied. she's fun, personable, extremely skilled in both color and cut and listens to what i want. when i decided to get bangs, she rocked it. when i decided on long layers, she nailed it. she always does. and that's talent. being a stylist is not just an art, it's a science. you can see that dineen has a grasp of both of these concepts in every hairstyle she creates. she is wonderful and i highly recommend her.

I use Dineen to cut my hair and she is great. Not only does she give me a great hair cut, but she is very knowledgable and very generous in sharing that knowledge, recommending great products, some of which aren't even carried by the salon. She's a real pro. I've been using her for a year and have not had to wait for her once. Plus it's a great atmosphere and everyone is extremely friendly.

C-Salon is fantastico, in large part thanks to the talents of Aaron Seekins, hair stylist extraordinaire. When I left the self-proclaimed hair-tropolis on Montreal, I though I would never find a stylist as good as the folks at Furisme, but Aaron has saved the day! My Mad Men meets Kurt from Glee throwback has never looked better. Plus he's a skilled conversationalist and borderline therapist (as all good stylists should be). Call ahead and ask about the scalp treatment.

As you look at C-Salon from the outside you can begin to imagine the experience you are going to have inside. The interesting art, sharp decor, with a little extra surprise of fun with oragami in the huge windows. As you walk in, you are greeted warmly by the receptionist and immediately offered refreshments. As a mom of a toddler I do not have time to wait around all day -like you typically experience in other salons but even the waiting area looks so comfortable, a book and a few minutes would not hurt! :) Surprise!!! Here come Aaron Seekins. He is professional and prompt (5 minutes early even?). I have never had to wait with my book (even in the middle of the day). During the consultation, he takes the time to listen to what you want, what you are looking for, and what you have time to handle on a daily basis. Then he sends you off for the most relaxing shampoo you can imagine (nap time!) As Aaron cuts your hair you can see the level of experience, and aforementioned professionalism. The attention to detail is astonishing! I also end up with a few great restaurant tips!. When he is done, I can not help to stare in every window, mirror, and shiny surface. I walk a little farther to a CTA stop so I can enjoy the bounce in my hair a little longer. The service and quality that Aaron delivers is above and beyond what I have ever experienced. I would and have recommended him to friends. (They came back thanking me!) Run ...don't walk to Aaron and C-Salon... but you better not take my appointment!

Ricardo, the best stylist in Chicago, is back at C Salon. And all I can say is that he does an amazing, amazing job. The salon is relaxing and welcoming. It's away from the busy streets of the loop, so it feels like an oasis. I change my color and my hairstyles frequently, so if you are looking for a professional who can offer you color and great cuts then Ricardo is your stylist and C Salon is your spot.

Aaron Seekins at C Salon is the best! I found him (by accident) six years ago and have never strayed since then. He not only has kept my hair looking fantastic the last six years, but he also made my wedding party look gorgeous when I had him as our hair stylist for the big day (five years ago). I mostly tell him to do ""whatever you want"" with my hair, and the cut and color look fabulous every single time! HIGHLY highly recommend him and this wonderful, welcoming, relaxing salon.

I really dig this place and that says a lot from a guy who for years went to a straight up old school barber shop. I feel really comfortable here and especially in the hands of Aaron Seekins. Nothing snooty but never skipping a beat in service and class, top notch. Every time my cut has come out perfect, never waited more than 2 minutes, and Aaron has the right idea when it comes to product. Knows exactly what I need. I've since sent numerous lady and guy friends here and to Aaron and everyone has nothing but rave reviews. Definitely recommended!!

I came to this salon after more than a dozen years of salon hopping. I was never quite satisfied at any other salon. Either I received a great cut or a decent (livable) color. But never both.\r \r UNTIL… \r \r I met the team at C Salon. Both Aaron Seekins and Carlo Michelutti are phenomenal colorists!! And you can't beat their phenomenal Salon Manager, Melissa!\r \r I have dark brown hair and have never walked out of there with pedestrian hair, freak show hair; Zebra stripped hair or having horribly bleached out hair. It has now been 3 years now and I refuse to change salons!!!\r \r Aaron has cut and colored my hair and taken my distressed tresses and made me look Amazing. The color is beautiful and now has depth and - for lack of a better words – my hair looks like silk. It looks gorgeous. Aaron himself blow dries my hair and makes me look and feel like a super model!!\r \r I'm hooked. I will NOT go somewhere else.\r \r I will stick with the lovely, friendly, super professional and talented staff at C Salon. \r Every single customer I saw at the salon looked GREAT. \r

Been to several salons around the city, C Salon is in another class. All of the staff is friendly and ""real."" None of that fake crap. Great location and easy to get to as well. I can't say enough about my hair. I have never been happier!! My hair looks the best it has ever looked and is so healthy. When you go to someone who really knows hair and product, you can't go wrong! \r And thats what you get with Aaron Seekins. I mean this guy knows his business. First off, he cuts hair like no ones business! Product, ask Aaron anything about any hair care prouduct and he will give you a litney of whats in it and if its good for your hair or not! He's also a chemist. Aaron will tell how color works and why it works.\r I have been going to Aaron for at least 4 years now and \r I couldn't be more satified in every way with my hair. \r I love the salon too. they have great products. Big windows and just down the street from Greek town. \r \r

Intelligent and friendly staff, talented stylists

I've been going to C Salon for a couple of years now and it has been consistent in everything that matters, mainly (and most importantly) quality and friendliness. I like that you come into the salon and are greeted warmly by the great reception staff they have or even by the owner himself. Everyone is knowledgeable about the great selection of products they sell there and are able to give advice about what would be best for the guest. Here is a crazy example of how well they know their products; I came in with product in my hair which they used to carry (about a year ago) and when I was getting my hair washed, Ivan knew exactly which it was! He went on to tell me which product is similar in characteristic but superior in quality. Aaron (Seekins) is easily the most skillful stylist I know. He is very friendly and knows so much about product, hair and the actual art of cutting. He explains what he will do and how your hair will grow and he even suggests what you could do at various stages of your hair's growth. This sort of knowledge really makes someone feel comfortable, informed and helps get more miles out of each cut since you'll know what to do weeks after the cut. A personal side-note; the biggest bonus about the salon to me is that it is active in the community. It supports local galleries, businesses and sells very unique gift items. You have to like a place that watches out for other places too!

As a professional guy living in the city, I've searched long and far to find the best and Aaron Seekins is exactly that - the best! The staff at C Salon is very professional and courteous as well. Anyone can pick up a pair of scissors and cut hair. Aaron obviously has a gift for this art and I truly feel that he keeps me looking my best! #1 in Chicago - hands down.
