Though I haven't actually used Tech Shield for an official business transaction, my short-lived experience with them is enough to warrant a glowing review. I walked into TS with a broken laptop screen and a broken spirit (as far as computers go). The young man I talked to took one look at my HP and gave me the honest advice that restoration would be more of a headache than a productive endeavor. I appreciated his candor, and was surprised at what happened next. He proceeded to outline carefully what my best options for a new laptop would be, and even gave me a rundown of the different prices, specifications, personal experiences, and varying reliability of competitive laptops brands. I was befuddled. I walked in expecting to be upsold, jerked around, and made to look like a fool for my lack of computer knowledge. Instead, I was spoon-fed a wealth of fresh knowledge that has led to a safe and secure laptop purchase, at no cost! If I do run into another computer related issue in the near future, I'll be traversing the small alley that leads to Tech Shield modest, honest, and well-run operation. Just one tidbit of advice: invest in some type of interior decoration.
O, Daniel and friends at Tech Shield: thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. Whatever my notebook caught, it was very bad, but I was informed at Tech Shield that it was a simple fix, and was quoted a reasonable rate for the job. Whew. Then there was a bump in the road. It turned out that the virus was very aggressive and everything needed to be scrapped and re-installed to fix it. When Daniel called to explain this, he offered to back up all my files, install the newer Windows and anti-virus software for me, and -- get this -- stick to the low rate he'd already quoted me, even for all that extra work! Who does that?! What a blessing to have first-rate, generous nerds in the neighborhood. It's not like geek squad would have done something like that for me. If you're looking around for the best local tech support, your hunt is over. This is the one.
i had a major issue with my graphics cards in my laptop and Dell was useless. I called Tech Shield since they were local and was pleasantly surprised with their professionalism. A quick service call later and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue (my cards were fried, apparently a known issue with this model) and a replacement was needed!!. They got the replacements in their quickly and handled the entire situation. The tech was very knowledgeable and friendly and explained the issue to me in a way that didn't make me feel like an idiot like the other phone based supports.Its really good to know they can provide phone support plus be able to come to your house to fix the issues.I'm skipping Dell in the future and just calling Tech Shield. Thank you guys.
