Lookout Mountain Incline Railway

It's not something I'd do every day, of course, but for anyone new to Chattanooga, it's a must if you want the best view of the city. At the top, spend time in Point Park. At the bottom, wander the shops (all within a minute walk from the Incline) of historic St. Elmo for coffee (Mocha Joe's Bistro), food (Mocha again or Mojo Burrito for burritos/wraps/salads and beer or Mr. T's for a pizza and heaping bowl of ice cream), handmade gifts and candles, and even a climbing gym. Great place to spend the day.
