Do not let your pet stay here if you want them treated properly! Our bulldog stayed there while we went out of town and when we came back to pick him up I was welcomed with a chest that looked like someone had taken a knife to it. He had a severe hot spot that was never caught by the staff or mentioned to us. Our dog has not eaten in 3 days and seems to have severe trauma from this place. We have had him to the vet 3 times in 3 day with a bill of over $500. I am highly irate with this place and would not reccomend to anyone!!

WONDERFUL! Beautiful, clean and amazing staff. I've been taking my dog to daycare as well as board him for a few days at the Barkmore. They are amazing, love animals, and always go above and beyond. I recommend the Barkmore!

More like an elite little bed and breakfast for dogs. (cats too). Complete with furnished and decorated little suites.
Each dog is treated like they are in a spa. I especially liked seeing grass in the play areas instead of gravel or concrete. Just a really great little place!

I would love to give this place a good review but I can't. I made reservations for my dog to stay there over Christmas vacation. I have boarded my dog there one other time and liked them so I decided to use them again even though they're over a hour away from my home. My husband accidently took the wrong exit and we had to turn around. I called them to let them know that we would be running just a couple of minutes late. Their drop off cut off is at 2 pm. I was told that I would be charged a fee of $30 for being late. $30 for being 2-3 minutes late. I asked if there was any way to waive this fee and I was promptly told no. I then decided to cancel my dogs reservations. I pulled up at there location at 2 pm on the dot to retrieve my dogs shot records so I could take her somewhere else. I was told that they did not have it. (Even though 2 hours earlier they had it on file) I spoke with the owner and she said that there was nothing she could do about the $30 fee. I then left, only to receive a phone call 20 minutes later stating that since I cancelled my booking there was no longer a spit available for my dog. (I guess it got booked in the 7 minutes it took me to get off of the phone and get there) but I could rent half of a run for the same price and would still have to pay the late fee. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. My husband and I are business owners and if we treated our customers this way, we wouldn't have a job. They lost a repeat customer over 2 minutes and $30.

We left our perfectly healthy Papillon in the care of the Barkmore Pet Hotel while we went on our European dream vacation. We trusted the Barkmore Pet Hotel with our most prized possession. We had left her there before and had no reason for concern. However, in less than 24 hours we received a call from the Barkmore Hotel's owner that our dog was dead.The owner stated that she had received a call from one of her employees that they had found our Papillon lying on her side with blood coming from her mouth when they arrived early that morning. The owner took our dog to the veterinarian, however, our dog was already dead. The owner stated that she did not know how our dog died. Later, the veterinarian said that our dog died of "physical trauma" and "that she had a bruise above her eye."



Our family has never felt so robbed, helpless, angry, and devastated over the loss of our beloved pet. Our dog was loved so very much and is missed more than words can ever express. There is not a day that goes by that we do not think of her and wish that she could be by our side once more.

This was an Excellent Pet Hotel. My little yorkie had a great visit. We were on vacation so I wanted my puppy to feel he was on a vacation of his own. He was well taken care of in a great setting.
