This dealership is unique in their approach to selling cars. We started our day at 2 or 3 other dealerships. We just couldn't feel relaxed and free to roam & take in all the inventory. The sales pressure was on and I was starting to get stressed awfully early in the morning. We stopped at the end of t International Drive at a smaller used car dealer, MTN. View @ 153. From the moment we drove on the lot it was a wonderful experience. Our sales person was Jace "Grasshopper" Flatt. He is very young but also laid back & eager to please. He introduced himself to let us know he was there but quickly backed off to let us have our look at the lot. There was a good variety of vehicle, most only a few years old. All cars were unlocked and the price with all the vehicle's information were available on each car. We were able to shop with so much more ease this way. We quickly picked out 4 cars to test drive. There was still no selling pressure even after we drove the cars. We were very surprised at the no haggle policy as I've never heard of a dealership not negotiating prices. After some research all cars were competitively prices per my Edmunds.com estimator. Some better than others & their doc fee of was a little steep. However even after everything was said & done I still got into this vehicle under Edmund's suggested dealer price and the experience was so much more enjoyable than our previous cars bought. Jace was skillfully handling multiple customers at one time and because of his genuine desire to make each customer happy nobody minded to wait a few minutes to grab his attention. Terrible service. I went there to get my catalytic converter replaced, and they told me that my car also needed a tune-up. I thought to myself, "I'll just get the tune-up later." However, what I did not know was that if I did not get the tune-up, the catalytic converter would be immediately ruined when I drove my car. Now, I am out $400 and they will not give me my money back. They were also very argumentative when I went in to talk to them about it, completely convinced they were right and that I was wrong, and would not even consider giving me a refund. Edit: The manager did call me again and she said that the company where they get the catalytic converters would replace it for free because of "good customer relationships" with Midas, but they said I would have to pay to have the catalytic converter installed (again). I felt a little like this was penny-pinching. So I am not completely satisfied with their solution, and they will definitely not get one more cent from me after this. However, I am relieved that I was at least able to get part of my money back.
If you dont know a thing about cars and your wanting to take your car somewhere where they dont run off comission and they do a hoest good job, this would be my first choice. Brian is an exceptional person who really knows how to run a business. Not only are they great at what they do they do it with first class customer service, as if they have know you for years. If its an oil change to changing your whole transmission they have you covered. I feel as if I should let the world know how well i was treated and how great the work was. Me being young and female most auto places would look at me as an easy sell, as if i have no idea and sell me things that are not nessisary. this place is like asking your mom for advise, you know your mother would tell you the honest truth, why not have that in your business? I love it, I'll keep my business there.
these guys rock!!! i took my 200 dodge dakota that was all faded and clearcoat was gone, to these guys and they qoted me a price of 450$ to sand domd and repaint the whole truck. I had got another quote from another place and they wanted 1000 bucks just to sand and repaint the top half of my truck????? anyway, this place is small and i passed it the first time that i was looking for it but believe me, looks are definately deceiving in this case!!! place is small but they are fixing to move over to 23rd street. BUT THESE GUYS ROCK!!!!the paint job is amazing and they were very polite and nice. i didnt pay anything until they finished and i approved of it. i would definately recommend these guys to everyone. great job!!!! any they also fixed a couple of dents for me for 50 bucks and i cant even tell where they were!!
Thank you Paul at Midas! We came into Chattanooga for Hotrod Power tour, unfortunately on a flatbed as our car stopped running atop of Look out Mountain Scenic Highway. Paul looked at the car and spent time discussing his thoughts and suggestions. Although we could not come up with a reason why it stopped working the day before it was working fine. He was very helpful, courteous, and I recommend him and his shop as being treated fair, honest, and charged for actual. Will definitely stop by when in Chattanooga again hopefully next time just to say hi! Car ran great all the way home will keep you posted if it is a barometric PSI problem in the mapping.
5 Star hands down! I scratched my door really bad about a year ago and didn't get around to fixing it until recently. It started to rust and I thought it was going to be expensive and a pain for it to be fixed. I dropped off my car to John and he said he would take care of it for me. And he did! He was very helpful and courteous and had my car back to me within 2 days. I was extremely impressed because my car looked brand new! The paint job was also done really well! Nice staff, great service, and amazing outcome! I will go back to G&S next time I need body work done. Highly recommend this place!
Great Service; Great Price; Honest Guys! They replaced the timing and drive belts on my 2004 Sonata on my first visit. Then I returned several weeks later so they could replace the timing and drive belts, water pump and they flushed the coolant system on my 2003 Odyssey. Now that I have discovered them, I will use them for all of my automotive maintenance and repairs. An extra bonus is Jenkins Buffet is within walking distance of their location. I had 2 exceptional experiences and would anticipate you will have the same experience.
Having moved to a new location: G&S is located 6041 International Drive, Chattanooga TN in the area of many auto dealers off of Hwy 153 & Shallowford Rd 37421. This is the most professional autobody shop I have had occasion to use in recent years. Seeking their advice on a needed repair was both timely & wise. End result was only the needed repair was completed and as scheduled by a truly professional team. I appreciated the advice provided & they have now acquired a "life-time" customer!
Parker's Citgo saved the day for me! I was in Chattanooga on my way home to Murfreesboro for my son to receive an award later that day. My van unexpectedly began to have trouble. I pulled into Parker's Citgo in tears fearing I would miss seeing my son get his award. I explained the situation and the owner and mechanics worked quickly to obtain the needed parts and repair my van. Thanks to Parker's, I was able to make it to my son's award event right before it started. I can't thank Parker's Citgo enough!
Ask about any discounts before you drop car off or before the car is finished. I was told that there were discounts but I was supposed to ask before the bill was finalized in their system. I did not know that it worked like that. I will take that as a learning experience. Many businesses will discount if a customer pays cash to avoid the 2-5% service fee from a card provider. FYI. Always ask for a discount. I was not above asking but timing seems to be of importance relative to the establishment.
