Provided by DexKnowsI have been taking my pups tp Pampered Pets in Charlottesville for years and have ALWAYS received top notch service. The facility is clean and offers multiple services including special playtimes that range from belly rubs to ball chasing. I am always leaving my pups in their care for either a day stay or a week long board.

Provided by DexKnowsWorse place ever !!!! One they charged way to much. They charged us 24 dollars a day cause they said our dog weighed over 150 lb. I'm sorry NO. He weighs 64 lb. Also most places give dogs baths for free when they stay a week there. So when I was asked if my dog wanted a bath before I took him home I said sure. Ya 52 bucks later. He's not even a dog that needs groomed he has short hair. Is dog shampoo really that expensive? Also they sent my dog food container home with some one else. I live 30 min away now I have to go back and get it later in the week. That's an hr out of my day I don't get back.....and get this they told me that they under charged me.....really? Really a worthless place. Try Wakefield kennel or all things pawsible at least they are straight forward with what they charge and don't give your stuff to other people to take home.

Provided by DexKnowsWe boarded my cats there and that experience was fine...When we boarded my dog, he came back smelling like potty to the point that we bathed him before we even finished unpacking, he doesn't mess himself at home so I don't know who that smell belonged to. He also peed all over the floor there when we were gathering him up. This hasn't happened before or since. Also when it comes to dropping off your dog they whisk them away without much of a "say byeeee". The price is decent and they are good about giving back your toys and bowls. They even stayed a few minutes so we could pick up our cats at closing one night. If it wasn't for getting back a smelly dog I'd go there more often.

Provided by DexKnowsI always bathe/groom my dog before taking her to the kennel when I leave town. I came back to pick her up to find her covered in mats (I literally had to cut so many out that she now looks like another breed) and she was covered in old, smelly urine. I am disappointed as she was freshly bathed/conditioned/brushed and she was disgusting when I picked her up. She does not have accidents on herself - and I paid for her to have 2 one-on-one play sessions a day, and that should give her the opportunity to go to the restroom... so I can only assume that they neglected to give her the play time I paid for. Why wouldn't they call to let me know she had an accident and if I would like them to bathe her before picking her up? If I was running this service I would call the owners and give them that option. She is an indoor dog, why would I want to pick up my dog covered in her own waste? Wouldn't that be common sense? Why would they keep this dog with mats in her hair?
