At Last Hair Color Studio

The salon considers itself a fancy place and its team as color professionals but they are as ordinary as any cheap places. I had an appointment for 12:45, when I arrived I was told to wait 15 minutes for the colorist woman to come and receptionist told me that they had my wrong number so they couldn't let me know to come later but I looked at their screen, and my correct number was right there. She finally came at 13:30. Hurley (hair colorist) didn't take time to understand what I want, I showed her pictures of want I exactly want and even what I did not want. Even though I told her I wanted a Balayage and not an Ombre, she prepped for an ombre and I asked her again to make sure she understood, she told me that there's no real difference between the two! She was like "the previous dresser really messed up your hair and its too orange/brassy, and I'm gonna fix it for you", but then my hair turned out more orange thats what I paid $150 for to get more messed up color! ...

This is absolutely the best salon in Charlottesville. The women who work there are professional, extremely talented, and so much FUN! You feel welcome from the second you walk in the door.. I felt completely trusting of my stylist and my hair looks fabulous. I get compliments everyday and my friends say that my hair has never looked better. Now-a-days, customer service is a must, and the staff truly want you to be happy with your hair and have a wonderful time at your appointment... I've been to salons where you feel like you are going through an assembly line, and At Last is the total opposite. The girls want you to have an experience as well as amazing hair, and I truly appreciate that.

The women at At Last Hair Color Studio are very professional, upbeat, and concerned about you getting exactly what you want. I was a new customer. I went for highlights and a haircut one week before having to go out of town. The haircut was exactly what I wanted. The color was not bad, but not exactly what I wanted. Bridgette, my colorist, suggested that I come back the following day for some toner. She was insistent that she wanted me to be happy and to get what I wanted. Everyone in the salon kept telling me that they stand behind their work and guarantee their customers' satisfaction. The next day, I went back for the toner, at no cost to me. The color was still not exactly what I was looking for - although it was not bad. Bridgette insisted that I come back again the next day. Although the studio closes at 6 pm (I believe), Bridgette met me at the studio at 8 pm on a Saturday night (the only time I could meet her before having to leave town), and stayed until 11 pm highlighting, shampooing, blow drying and flat ironing my hair - all at no charge. The color was perfect. I was very happy. Throughout those three days, Bridgette never got offended when I said that I wanted something slightly different. She never acted put out. The women at the salon kept saying that my opinion was the only one that mattered. Their website says that they guarantee your satisfaction and it is obvious that they are not just saying that - they really live by it. I would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

What a great place! Not only did I get the color, cut and style I dreamed of, but the staff was SO GREAT! Friendly, funny, and professional. Not a combo you get very much theses days. Parking was a little clumsy, since it was lunch time, but they gave me alternative suggestions on my next visit, I will go back. I even had a real choice of magazines and beverages. They even asked if I was hungry because they had snacks at no extra charge. What a bargain! Thanks guys!
