On 12/24/09, your staff was being pounded by all of the last minute customers..... my daughter came in and was shopping and left her change. I called back in after hours and the manager (male) was SOOOOO nice. He was able to find the her change and called her to have her come back and get it. He was not even upset nor did he treat me like I was bothering him. This was the best customer service I received at that store in a long time. He really made me feel like the issue was important and treated us like he would have his own family. That left a great impression overall with me as in the past, some of the personnel at that store are not as nice and helpful as they should be. This gentleman was wearing a light blue shirt, a member of management and was exemplorary in his service not only over the phone but while I was there as well shopping earlier in the day. He was on a register assisting. That is rare. I really appreciated shopping at this store today.
I have purchased all of my furniture for the past 15+ years from Value City. I have also purchased the warranties because I was told by the sales people that it covered EVERYTHING for 7 years. Luckily I have never had to use the warranty. However... After moving from an apartment to a home this month (2 years into my 7 year warranty) and noticing that the back of one side of my sofa was slouching and possibly has some frame damage - I called to set up an appointment to repair and was informed that the warranty - that covers EVERYTHING for 7 years - does NOT cover damage from a move. I am not happy about this. I am in need of additional furniture and if I decide to go back to Value City to make my purchase - I certainly will NOT waste my money on a warranty.
I just just want to say I am very pleased with the customer service at this location. Two employees that stand out to me are Tairana and Wayne. They both work so hard. Tairana is always sweet, a fast worker. I do.recall an incident where she faced a complicated customer. However, I was pleased with the way she handled the customer. Wayne is always on his job making sure everyone is doing what's right. Moreover, I like the fact that the store is always clean. A clean store definitely involves teamwork.
