We had to go to charlotte for my daughter's special needs cheerleading competition. We had originally reserved a room at an "upper class" hotel b/c they had an indoor pool. Upon getting there at 4 am we find out they only have a parking garage that our full size van cannot fit in. They did offer (this is also a marriott company) to have us park at the residence inn and they would shuffle us the 6 blocks but we were irritated b/c we had my daughter's equipment, powerchair, and our luggage. So, we just ended up staying at The Residence Inn.At first, we were disappointed b/c there was no pool, but it was less complicated, comfortable from the moment we got in our room, and all the people were so nice and helpful. We ended up forgetting about the pool entirely and ordered room service and stayed in out of the cold. On top of our weekend being relaxing, we left my cell phone there, they called said they had it, and I got it in 1 DAY!!! They really are nice and it's just nice to know that people still take the time to be the company they say they are.
This place has really turned the corner. Improved on customer service, food is outstanding. Best Clams Casino ever...the owner goes around and spea…
First of all, I don’t like most seafood restaurants because their fried seafood tastes so greasy. But my kids really do. So we tried Pier 51. WE LOVE THIS PLACE. The food was better than any seafood restaurant we have ever been to and we have eaten at all the local seafood places as well as the chains. I had the fried combo platter and it was an overly generous portion. The fish was light and flaky and the shrimp was crunchy and delicious. It was simply perfect. I asked my husband, who had worked in a Fish camp in high school why Pier 51’s seafood was so much better. He says that the key to the best seafood is to change the oil frequently so that must be what Pier 51 is doing. The kid’s portions were large also and my kids are big eaters. Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. It has a great family atmosphere. Last, the restaurant is spotless…including the restrooms. Give this place a try!
This was my first experience staying at a Knights Inn. I found it courtesy of my gps and 90 minutes till my class after traveling all night, i had arrived way before check-in with no reservation, but i did have an internet rate which a very welcoming and friendly staff member honored. I had to pay a small early check-in fee, but trust, I had no problems with doing so. I was in my room in no time and extremely surprised as to how clean my room was and as I later found out after class, HOW COMFORTABLE THE BED WAS, I was asleep in no time and awoke refresh for day two of class. As a female who often travels alone, I can say I felt safe. Before I go, let me just say it was located not even 8mins from a Super Walmart, a Walgreen's and a few places to eat. Knights Inn is not a four star hotel, but it's staff members and willingness to help made it feel that way!
