Fillings
Besides the aesthetic advantage of composite fillings over amalgam fillings, the preparation of composite fillings requires less removal of tooth structure to achieve adequate strength. This is because composite resins bind to enamel (and dentin too, although not as well) via a micromechanical bond. As conservation of tooth structure is a key ingredient in tooth preservation, many dentists prefer placing composite instead of amalgam fillings whenever possible.
Resin Composite
As the name indicates, Composite fillings are created from a complex compound and can be made to resemble the appearance of the natural tooth. They are strong, durable and cosmetically superior to silver or dark grey colored amalgam fillings. However, composite resin fillings are usually more expensive than silver amalgam fillings.
Veneers
There are a various options available to help whiten your smile. Sometimes, our in-office bleaching process will provide the change desired. In other cases, porcelain veneers offer a more effective solution. Dr. Warrier can help evaluate your potential for tooth whitening, based on their current color and the causes of any discoloration.
Crowns
A crown is a restoration that "caps" a tooth to restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth.
Bridges
A dental bridge is an appliance used to replace one or more missing teeth. These appliances are cemented into place and are not removable by the patient.
Restorative Dentistry

Root Canal Treatment
The core of the tooth is an area of soft tissue called the pulp, which carries the toothâ€™s nerves, veins, arteries and lymph vessels. Root canals are usually very small, narrow channels that branch off from the pulp chamber above down to the tip of the root. Teeth have a varying number of canals in them based on which category(i.e incisors, canines, molars etc) they belong to.

Deep Cleaning
In the intial stages, a simple cleaning of the teeth and gums to remove the tartar may be all that is necessary. If periodontitis is present, treatment usually involves a deep cleaning. This includes scaling and root planing-removing plaque and calculus around the tooth below the gumline and smoothing the root surfaces. Low-dose antibiotics may be used short- or long-term to supplement the benefits of scaling and root planing. As stated earlier, more advanced cases may require surgical treatment. The surgery is designed to clean inaccessible areas of calculus,smooth root surfaces and reposition the gum tissue so it will be easier to keep clean by the patient.

Dentures
There are various options available to replacing missing teeth. Depending on a detailed evaluation, Dr. Warrier may recommend that you get a crown and bridge, dentures and partials, or dental implants.

Dental Implants
Of the tooth, which can cause neighboring and opposing teeth to shift, resulting in an altered bite. Though an extraction seems to be more economical upfront, the space left behind will require an implant or a bridge, which can be more expensive than root canal therapy. No manmade replacement is as good as saving your original tooth.

Advanced Periodontitis: In this final stage of gum disease, the bone supporting the teeth is destroyed, which can cause the teeth to shift or loosen. More aggressive treatment, including gum surgery and/or bone grafting may be required. If this does not improve the condition, teeth may need to be removed.
