Lodge at Mallard Creek Apartments

RENTERS BEWARE!!! Please do not rent here. This apartment complex is not safe. Residents are robbed at gun point, cars are constantly broken into, and your apartment will be broken into also. To add insult to injury. These apartments are over priced and management will nickle and dime you for everything. For example, when I moved out. They counted the number of stains in my carpet and charged me for 9 stains in the carpet. Which equaled 90.00!!! Plus, they charged me 45.00 to replace one blind that wasn't broken but slightly bent. (THE BLINDS ARE SUPER CHEAP TOO) AND....they charged me a fee to clean my oven which I replaced all of the drip pans and soaked it overnight beforehand. However, it had a few grease spots so they charged me 25.00. I had 200.00 in move out costs because apparently their cleaning company charges them. Huh? Aren't they suppose to charge you to clean? They pass on every charge that the cleaning company charges them. They are ruthless. They even take pictures just to prove their point. Even though, I didn't agree that the carpet stains were worth 90.00 (You can get the entire apartment carpet cleaned for 90, the oven was left dirty, or the blind needed replacement I still was forced to pay or have the debt sent to collections. DO NOT STAY HERE. THE MANAGEMENT IS RIDICULOUS!! PLEASE LISTEN. IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. This is the worst management company ever. I have never been charged for the apartment complex having to clean their own apartment. It even sounds ridiculous to type. My apartment had no damages and I was charged. DO NOT STAY HERE!

When we first moved in it seemed really nice, but as time passed we noticed its many faults. The apartments are very small and not that nice for what you pay. If you own a pet well kiss $500.00 down the drain because that's how much the deposit is and it is not refundable. The "dog park" is actually a water retention pond full of holes and anytime it rains it turns into a lake for a couple of weeks, many dogs have also gotten sick from drinking the water that collects there because it runs off from the parking lot. There are only two dog poo bins in the entire complex so you have to walk a long ways to throw away droppings, which is not a good idea at night. Many people don't want to walk that far so there are poo bombs all over the grounds. When we first moved in there was a guy who use to walk around with a gun strapped to his side and told us to never walk around at night because there were a bunch of robbery's going on and to back that up we received several notices of break ins and car jackings from the office. Walking around the property you will also notice a lot of trash, broking glass and light poles conveniently hidden, one tenant actually has a make shift fence made out of chicken wire. Also you can't even use the clubhouse without paying $50.00. When we moved in to the apartment we expected it to be nice for what we pay but when we inspected it we saw cracks in the wall, mildew in the windows, the carpet was poorly installed. It easily lifts up and is cut unevenly in some parts. It didn't even look like it had been cleaned so we spent a week scrubbing. My final complaint is the property is infested with mosquito's. So if you don't mind all that was mentioned above and enjoy paying a lot of money to live in the ghetto for a tiny apartment then you will enjoy it here.

Everyone at this complex including myself hates this place. Cars get broken into or people get mugged in the parking lot every week. The maintenance crew is pretty terrible at fixing things the right way the first, second, and sometimes third time. The "dog park" is actually a drainage ditch for the parking lot, so it's either full of water or really muddy most of the time. For some reason it's a lot more expensive than other complexes in the area.
