If you live in Charlotte and have not tried this place, you are missing out, big time! They have consistently provided delicious food for decades. The classic Cheese-Steak, Pizza, and chicken parm will make you join the legions of House of PIzza fans that sing their praises. We go there as often as possible for Lunch as well as dinner.

I've eaten here for most of two decades, and have never had a bad experience. Their pizza is consistently excellent, and their subs are fantastic! The atmosphere can be a little unpredictable - I've been there when it was quiet enough to have a relaxing or in-depth conversation, and I've been there when the jukebox and banging around involved in cooking someone's cheesesteak made it hard to concentrate on anything at all. Nonetheless, this is one of my all-time favorite eating spots in Charlotte.

The House Of Pizzas wins out due to a few factors. Homemade pizza crust, fresh toppings(o.k., the mushrooms are canned-but that's a PLUS! Who wants dry brittle flavorless mushrooms? Why is this a craze with chain pizza now?) The ground beef they put on the pie is actually real browned ground beef, not pre-made balls of beef. The sauces at House Of Pizzas are home-made and amazing. Kind of an old-fashioned Charlotte style pizzeria.

more than just pizza, its a pasta world
The Zita is excellent and so is the homemade lasagna. One of my fav subs is the combo cheese steak. Recently added and excellent assortment of red wines to pair with the pasta.
