First of all, in response to the previous review, Rullo Di Pasta is NOT a 5 star freakin Italian place, so of course they're not going to offer seafood. They offer MANY varieties of pasta, soups, salads and sandwiches but HELLLOOO, ITS A PIZZA PLACE! why would a pizza place have seafood? do any pizza places YOU know have seafood? anyways, everything at rullos is prepared fresh daily, no microwaves, no fryers, no freezers and no heatlamps, so yeah sometimes your freshly cooked meal will take longer than 5 minutes...most ALL orders are out between 8-15 minutes. you can order pizza by the slice or specialty made pizzas (whatever you'd like) in 3 sizes, all come out in 8 minutes. Rullos is run by a family, the family works there, and only about 3 people work at a time because its a small place (think panera bread, but italian) and they are VERY family friendly, so excuse them if they allow families to come in and not worry about their kids being in the way or being a hassle. they're kids!!! they greet every single person that walks in with a smile and a "hey, how are ya!!?" I think it's a wonderful place because I'm a regular there, and have gotten to know the staff very well, they are very friendly and work very hard to make their customers happy.

I have not had one bad experience at this establishment. I recommend this number one Italian restaurant to anyone looking for top notch Italian food. I've been a customer for only a short time now but my family eats there at least twice a week since we found Angela's Via the Internet, which brings me to why I responded to this review. When I found this place hidden here in Charlotte, I swore I would do my part and tell others THIS is the place to dine. (We had been on the prowl forever looking for some great Italian food and I know there are many more out there looking for the same thing) The food alone keeps us as customers but the whole "Angela's family" who call us by name keep us as LOYAL customers. I feel they really go out of their way to say hello and acknowledge the fact that their business depends on satisfied customers. (The food really is that good they could greet me with a smack in the face and I would come back for more) I find it hard to believe that the review I'm responding to is telling the whole story. As another reviewer mentioned, this is one of those "Mom & Pop" restaurants that is well run and this type of restaurant is hard to find . Great food, great people, great portions, great prices .
Blue, you are pretty. You are fancy. You make really good food. You are a perfect pre-show dining spot with your free valet parking. You are also pricey. Pricey, and maybe almost worth it. Almost. It seemed to me that the entrée prices were a little high by about $5-$7 each. The extensive wine list was priced about right for a fine dining establishment in uptown Charlotte. The Amaretto and Dark Chocolate Ricotta Cheesecake could have been too rich, but the Ricotta cut it perfectly. The Beef Tenderloin a la Blue included some of the best risotto I can remember having, and the service was as attentive as one would expect in an upscale restaurant. Our server was knowledgeable and quick, and was cognizant of our time constraints due to our tickets to a show at Belk Theater, which is an easy walk through the Bank of America building. This is especially helpful on rainy evenings. It was good, but I’m not itching to go back. There are many other restaurants in uptown Charlotte that are just as good and well-located that are less expensive.
