This is a new restaurant in the Steele Creek area of South Charlotte. They serve great fresh food with real sweet southern hospitality!! They make everything from scratch everyday...including the pie crusts and do all their hickory smoking of the meats on site. I couldn't believe how great EVERYTHING I had was. My server was so friendly and knowledgable, she made me feel right at home. I can't wait to tell all my friends and to take them there. If you don't live near the area...its really not that far from uptown or the Ballantyne area. For those of you that live on or visit lake wylie, this is a great place to call ahead and order and pick it up to feed you and your friends. You can buy the food in bulk!! Trust me its worth the drive. I reccommend the onion rings, angus beef brisket, baby back ribs or really anything on the menu!! The mac-n-chz is to die for!! Oh yeah...they even have a DRIVE-THRU and they CATER for any occation:)

Read good reviews about this BBQ joint, and had to try it out. I try to be impartial and not let me personal preferences color my review. But, it just didn't do it for me. The BBQ was "good", but not great. Not enough smoke flavor (if any) and no bark. You know how you go to a BBQ place and it tastes and smells FRESH, as in, they just pulled it off the smoker and pulled it apart within the past hour? Not reheated.. not chopped and shredded and put into a huge bucket then scooped out later? Spoon's tastes like the later.. like maybe it was older BBQ that was heated up. Might not be true, but it's my first impression. I would go back if I were in the area, but not if I felt like BBQ and had other options.
The drink specials were awesome! A friend of mine and I were planning on going out and grabbing a drink on a beautiful spring day. We sat out on a patio on the water, and shared a pitcher for $5! It was a Wednesday, so I thought that they were just trying to bring people in, but was surprised to see great beer AND liqueur specials all week long. From $5 martinis on saturday to $2 U call its on Thursday. While we were planning on just grabbing a drink, we were really surprised with the menu that we split the crab queso and fried pickles. They were both delicious. I am planning on taking my husband back and trying some more of the menu. It was a nice restaurant, with great service. I definitely recommend it!
