Rug Masters, Inc., a family-owned and operated business, has been servicing Charleston for over 55 years. Specializing in the finest handmade rugs from all over the world and featuring the best machine made rugs including Karastan orientals and Broadloom carpeting. That’s exactly what our product is: handmade oriental rugs – art on the floor! The world of oriental rugs has changed more in the past 30 years than the entire previous history of rug weaving. With “new” rug producing countries exporting a huge supply of rugs, never before has the world seen such selections. That can be good and bad. With our extensive background in cleaning and repair, we have been able to distinguish the quality in rugs not just from the color aspect, but also in the weaving and dying processes. Thus, we feel that customers can rely on the quality of their purchases from us. Many rugs have beautiful designs and colors but are suspicious in true quality. Vicki Kammeyer spends endless hours in researching our oriental rug product. We never accept a rug based only on country origin. We are truly professional in our rug selection and have established a well recognized product from very established vendors. We encourage people to come and visit our showrooms. Most of our rugs are positioned on hanging racks, which enables the customers to see the whole rug and also allows them to shop at their own pace and in privacy.
