Custom Car Stereo

Great experience with custom car stereo. This review will be a little lomg, but worth a read to see why going through custom car is worth it. I had a jl sub and rockford fosgate amp installed by these guys a few years back. Long story short the amp started putting out dc power to no fault of custom car which blew my amp and sub. The sub had warranty but the amp was a couple months past warranty. Custom car pulled a few strings and got rockford to get me a new amp for free and didn't charge me a cent for install. Then over a year later, same thing... amp put out dc power, but this time only the amp blew. Now it was a year and some change out of warranty and they had already replaced mine once. Nick spent hours on the phone and made a few calls with some friends he had made at rockford when he went to their plant in Arizona. He got them to again give me a new amp for free. Mind you this is a nearly $300 amp. Idk how he did it, but custom car/Nick saved me $600 worth of amps that I couldn't have gotten without their connects. Also, shout out to their customer service guy AJ. He really knows his stuff and is always super helpful when i come in there. Very thankful to custom car.

I went there to fix an installation that was done by another company,

I told them what kind of music i like(house) and my budget , they gave me a price that was good for me and i left my car there.

after an hour they call me and explained me what's wrong with my system.

It was a long list of bad things that was done to my car but the worst was the mounting of the sub to the back of the seat where all the batteries are located (its an hybrid )

they had to replace 2 of my new speakers and another 2 parts that i don't know their name , build a custom made piece to make it look good , mount my tweeters IN the doors (not like the other company that dril it to the door).

with all the extra work and time that took them to work on my car they didn't charged me extra $,

According to them: they set a price withe me and that's what they will charge me , the extra work that they had to do is because they can't let a car leave their shop and not look perfect !



Now how can you beat a customer service like that ?!!

I have had previous tint work done on all my vehicles. I was referred to CCS and I was impressed with the professional attitude of employees. Very knowledgeable staff, explaining benefits of the difference types of film. It is obvious as to why they are considered the best window tint provider in the Charleston area! I would recommend CCS to everyone! I am committed to having any future cars tinted there!

They will rip you off if you let them. I set an appointment on a monday to have my windows tinted on saturday. At 5pm on the friday before my appointment i get a call from Christopher. He says that the charge will be 50$ more than what i was quoted(og. 199$) because of windows that they didnt account for when they quoted the price. I told him i would call him back to verify the appointment. Within 10 minutes he called me again to offer me a coupon worth 25$ off, so i would only get charged 25 more than they quoted (why didnt they already apply this before calling initially?) but i told him i would still call back. I contact Norton Car Stereo and told them what happened, they offered to tint all windows for 179.00$. I called Christopher back and told him the price they offered, he offered to apply a tint that he previously told me would turn purple and bubble up for the price Norton was offering, i told him to just cancel my appointment, he hung up with me and called RIGHT back to offer it at 175.00 for the tint i was supposed to get in the first place. But at this point i figured if they could offer it for less than what they quoted in the first place, why did he even bother to call me to tell me to tell me it was an extra 50$. So because they were so grimy, i refuse to do business with them and i was lucky enough to be able to make an appointment at Pleasant Details which has better reviews, is offering the same tint i was originally supposed to get with custom car stereo for less than what they originally offered. So long story short, instead of ripping me off for 50$ they lost out on any money from me completely.

Not happy at all wit installation at custom car they did a half job installing my equipment my vehicle sounded better before I even let them install my new equipment they didn't even call to tell me when my vehicle was done
