I heard about this place and stopped by the other afternoon. Apparently, it's now called Uncle Jack's Family Restaurant. They were pretty busy, even though there was no advertised opening. I was hoping to get lunch, but as soon as I walked in and the smell hit me, breakfast was on!! I had the Sweet and Savory combo: eggs, side of meat (the sausage links are outstanding!!), choice of pancakes or french toast and breakfast potatoes. All for about eight bucks. Check out their menu at: eatatunclejacks.com. I don't think they have a drink menu up yet. They even serve Bloody Marys, a small beer and wine selection and Bailey's & coffee (a personal fave on Sunday morning). I had a mocha latte that was really refreshing and not bitter, like some of the local coffee shops. My waitress got stuck with a large table that was taking up her time, so it was nice to know I could just go up to the counter to pay, also. I was in, I was out quick and I'll be back to Uncle Jack's Family Restaurant later this week!!

Our family eats at Ryans alot. The food and service is fantastic, they act like were family not customers, if i want something and its not on the bar our server does her best to get it for us. The managers stop and talk to you. For what you pay its a very good deal. we drink water so were glad the drink is not included in the price. Breakfast wow somuch to pick from. We have a favorite server but they are all wonderful. We have seen lots of people leave without putting a tip on the table, not good, these people work very hard for there money and deserve to be tipped.
I am a local of the Champaign-Urbana area and have seen many restaurants come and go. When I do go out to eat, I prefer a select few restaurants from the downtown area, my new favorite being DESTIHL. I find it really easy to get exited about the menu as the dishes are full of unique and delicious flavors. (Try the cedar plank salmon or the espresso rubbed rib-eye! ) Also, I am a fan of a good home brew any day and enjoy sampling the new beers on tap. Whenever I go, I always feel that I have had good service and a great time with my friends.
