Golden Wood Kennels

Golden Wood took care of our 14 year old Lab! They did a phenomenal job and we got a report each day with a picture on her nature walk ☺ I highly recommend them to take care of your pets! Their facility is so clean and well taken care of with the animals (I took a tour), and the staff has great qualities and experience!

I LOVE Goldenwood Kennels ! There is no where else I would ever think of taking my dogs. I have taken both of my dogs to Goldenwood since they were 14 weeks old and they are now almost 9. They are very well cared for, and the owner and staff are beyond caring and will go out of their way to accomodate all owners from what I have seen for the last eight years. They are in climate controlled kennels with a doggy door which gives them 24/7 access to the outside run. They are also exercised in the outside run once or twice a day while their runs are being cleaned. Both of my dogs love being there and one of them even trys to plow through the front door just to get inside. We take our own food, treats, toys and our dogs are always taken care of even if we have special requests. I have told all my friends about Goldenwood and they feel the same way.. Goldenwood is the BEST....

We will never go back! We took our diabetic dog there last weekend for 4 days. We gave them clear instructions (which we went over with them in person) to call us if they had any problems. We brought her Thursday night and called to check on her Sunday because they hadn’t called us to report any problems. So when we called them, they told us she would not eat anything. When we picked her up she seemed alright but she wouldn’t eat anything we gave her either which tells me her blood sugar was off. We both had to leave work to get her back on track. She is still having issues. I called them to find out why she is acting so sick. The owner woman complained on and on at me that our dog is “a nightmare” because she is a nervous eater who was hard to feed. Our dog was fine before we took her there.

They also only let the dogs out in a very short "dog run" area 2 times a day for 15 minutes. There are much better kennels out there, in fact the last one we went to had no trouble with our dog and she was very happy and healthy when we got her. I regret trying Golden wood!!!
