General Info:
The mission of Heirlooms & Comforts Viking Sew 'n Quilt is to offer unparallel service to quilting and sewing customers while providing top quality products and education in an environment of fun and friendship. We hope you will make Heirlooms & Comforts Viking Sew 'n Quilt your primary sources for all your sewing and quilting needs. Sara is the owner of Heirlooms & Comforts. What started as a love of sewing and a hobby has turned into a thriving business and the oldest quilt shop in South Carolina. Quilting has been in Sara's family for generations and she still has many of the priceless family heirlooms hanging on the walls above the fabric bolts in the shop in Central. With two daughters among her four children, Sara sewed their clothing when they were young A former English and French teacher, Sara has combined her love of the arts of sewing and quilting with her superb teaching ability and has assembled a staff of knowledgeable and friendly associates. Bobby graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Industrial Management. He started his career as a Management Trainee in the textile industry at Mayfair Mills. Over the years Bobby worked in many different positions throughout the company and in 1996 was promoted to Manager of Corporate Quality. He utilized Statistical Process Control methods and employed Edward Demming's 14 Point Method of Management. During the nearly 20 years that we have been Authorized Husqvarna-Viking Dealers, Bobby has always been the Service Technician. For the entire life of the business, he has been the accountant Heirlooms & Comforts. He assisted Sara with the renovation of 104 Madden Bridge Rd. and the move from Clemson to Central. In 2001, when the Mayfield Mills company closed, Bobby turned his attention full time to the operations of Heirlooms & Comforts Viking Sew 'n Quilt. He was instrumental in opening Viking Sew 'n Quilt in Greenville in 2001 and, in addition to his ongoing service technician and accounting duties, now manages the marketing and promotions portions of the business.
