I go to this gym about twice a week since it is near my office. I like this gym over the one at Cox which recently closed because they have TV's and you can hook up your headphones and listen to the TV while running on the treadmill or elliptical. Unfortunately with any gym it will have a "Gym" smell. The main reason I go there is because it has a basketball court which I try to play as much as I can. The court is fairly small and you can only play 4v4 since the court is so small. When I go there (8:30-11pm) there is a line and it gets busy so you have to wait for a while. They used to close the court at 11pm but recently they have been keeping it open longer. They also have a small swimming area with 3 or 4 lanes where you can swim. Overall the gym is good and not overly crowded.
There's a sauna, a pool, large work out areas and so on. Women, if you don't like feeling like a slab of meat, then go to an all womens club - b/c I hate it when women complain of getting whistled or looked at - dont blame the gym, they have nothing to do with it. The gym is very accomadating to all genders. They throw a lot of great "parties" for customer appreciation as well - its a good place. yes crowded at peak hours, but that's everywhere. My 3 year old son esp enjoys the childcare as well. Very Friendly!
This facility is small, but that's its appeal: it's very well appointed and it's low-key and comfortable. The staff are all fantastic, except for the daytime manager, some guy with a mustache and a tattoo on the back of his neck. This guy is a control freak who thinks he's a shot caller for everyone around him. He's got a smart mouth and he'll threaten to "yank" your membership if you attempt to assert your dignity when he runs his ignorant mouth at you. Other than that jerk, it's a great facility.
