I rescued a pit mix, and like many rescues, was having some aggression problems. My vet recommended I chat with Partners. Initially I was a little skeptical, after all, can you really teach an old dog new tricks. Wow, was I wrong. I love the place. The trainers could not be nicer, and my dog loved it there. I did the bootcamp, and am currently attending classes. They emphasize structure and respect, but in a loving... view moreLike this review?Yes|Flag Abuse

I have trained my dog at Partners for over 1 year. Though the consistency of the employees and trainers seems to change, I have been mostly satisfied with the results. Recently, I made multiple attempts to contact the owner Leighton Oosthuisen regarding a boarding fee that was charged even after I cancelled the reservation well in advance of 1 week. I understand the clients issue. However, our policy of charging a fee when the reservation is made was established 12 years ago, and is to discourage late cancellations. As a training school, trainers are scheduled a week in advance for lessons and last minute cancellations result in increased costs for everyone. The client had made numerous reservations and was aware of the policy. However, she became abusive to the office staff, calling constantly times, despite being told by a manager she could receive a credit, but not a refund. The owner attempted to discuss it with her, including offering a credit, but she became threatening, leading to him hanging up the phone, and informing his staff not to respond to her any further. It is always unfortunate when these situations occur, and we make every effort to find solutions.
