        Krav Maga - Israeli Martial Art: Krav Maga is the official defensive tactics system of the Israeli Defense Force. Their soldiers are men and women aged 18 to 51, so their fighting system focuses on techniques that are: Based on instinctive movements, so they are easy to learn and easy to remember under stress. Not dependent on size, strength, or special physical ability, so Krav Maga techniques can be used effectively by men and women of all ages. CrossFit: No treadmills, no weight machines, no step aerobics. If you want to read a magazine while you work out, we are not the place for you. We believe in workouts that include functional movement at high intensity with constant variety. CrossFit is the preferred conditioning program for law enforcement, fire departments, and military units across the United States...and because your needs vary from theirs only in degree; it will work for you, too.

        Overall

        I have been coming to RMSDF for almost 3 yrs now and it has changed my life! Not only has it gotten me in shape and showed me things I never knew I was capable of but it also gave me the confidence to be able to handle myself in any situation. The coaches are all extremely passionate, knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. The gym is totally family friendly and have many classes offered to kids of all ages 3.5+. Krav Maga is a great way to teach your kids how to stand up to bullies and to know when and when not to use this skill. I have nothing but good to say about this gym!

        I have been coming to RMSDF for 3 years. The training staff is knowledgeable and engaging. I have seen my physical fitness improve in all of the sports I participate in. Crossfit is a great workout, but can be difficult. The coaches understand and teach proper technique. They are able to scale workouts to any ability. There is no foul language used in the Crossfit classes.



        My children participate in the Kids Krav program. I have been very happy with the engagement of the instructor, who is also the owner. My boys have a great time and are learning a bit of discipline as well.



        I have always found this gym to be family friendly. Yes, I have heard foul language in the Krav Maga program, but I have not heard it out of context to self defense drills.

        Beware signing a contract here...

        Beware signing a contract here. We were forced to pay for the full year even though we could not attend and even though 2 students had been brought in because of my teens. This is up to the owner and he insisted they bring in two more people to cover their contracts. He would not work with us at all. He just took the money for services not rendered because he could. We also found that this is not a family friendly place as I had seen advertised. Foul language is REQUIRED.

        To clarify on PJGreens review of my business. We do verying term lenght for memberships. We offer to freeze membership time when someone has a conflict for a short time at no charge. We also give members the option of having someone take over the membership term. We hold people to their membership term as it was discounted the longer the term. We run a small business, memberships are how we pay our bills. I'm not sure why people do not want to be responsible for there commitments. Our adult Krav Maga class does have foul language in it when we are doing self defense senerio's, always in context (not every class). If we are going to teach someone to defend a real attack part of the training is to prepare them for an aggressive attacher. "I'm going to kick your ****** b***" things like this are ment to prepare our students for real world threats. We do not want them shutting down when some one is threatening them. We never swear in our Kids Krav Maga program. I invite anyone reading this in for a free month of training to find out we are a family friendly place. John Hallett Owner
