Overall

I continue to drive 35 minutes each way to Triangle Allergy even though they are out of network because of the trust and comfort level I have in them. Dr. Gayam is like an old fashioned doctor in that she is kind, empathetic, and I feel she is the best allergist in the area. My 11 yo son has been seeing her for about 8 years now and she was able to treat his severe allergies with homeopathic allergy shots rather than subjecting him to unnecessary x rays and steroids like the previous doctor.

I have been getting allergy shots for years. Effectively they have stopped my allergies and my need for allergy medication .. that is until I came to this office. I started to notice about 3 months in that the shots were not working anymore.. the doctor continued to tell me pollen levels were high. After 8 months of endless sneezing and horrendous allergy symptoms I decided to contact my previous allergy locations. Only to find out this woman has been under dosing for a year! When I would recieve 1.0 at both previous offices she kept my dose at .2... all the while saying we will rush to get back to previous levels.. only after an akward confrontation and armed with previous doctors notes and treatments was I able to get her to treat me properly. I can only assume she was trying to take my money by making me come twice a week when for 3 years I'd been going only 1 time per month. As of now I have never been more uncomfortable in my life. I'm in constant discomfort due to allergies.. and no medication seems to stop my runny nose. Don't go here, run from here. This doctor has severely diminished my ability to enjoy life.

Great to see a Dr. that looks at your situation holistically. She took the time asks lots of questions, review test results and then help me setup a game plan. There was a 15 minutes of testing and then over an hour of questions, discussion, and specific suggestions laying out where to go from here! Great doctor!

True Professional

My mom was told by another doctor that she had allergies, so I took her to see Dr. Gayam. After a long consultation, Dr Gayam ordered blood tests and checked for allergies. To our relief, she did not have any allergies. During the consultation I was coughing, as I always do in the fall when the weather turns cold. Dr. Gayam said, "You know you may have asthma?" I made an appointment and went back to be tested and, sure enough, she diagnosed and treated the asthma. I had suffered for so long and never realized how treatable it was. Dr. Gayam was truly wonderful and professional.
