Founded in 1979, E. A. Knight Construction Inc. is one of the largest residential building and remodeling companies in southern Illinois. Based in Carterville, Ill., it was the first company to sign on to the Illinois Quality Assurance Program. The company offers a wide range of services, such as remodeling, repairs, handyman, maintenance, design for disabilities and custom woodworking among others. E. A. Knight Construction Inc. is associated with the National Association of Home Builders, Home Builders Association of Southern Illinois and the Home Builders Association of Illinois. In 2008, Hanley Wood Remodeling Magazine recognized it as one of the fifty best remodeling companies in America.
