We had great food, great service and loved the decor of this great new restaurant to the area. 5 stars and we will return again and again! The portions were huge, the food was perfectly cooked and the service from both the server and the manager (owner?) was top notch. This was a huge improvement over going to the typical restaurants like Chili's or Ruby Tuesdays. The decor is medieval with swords, shields and other such on the walls, but the service and the food were "normal," so it wasn't like going to the Renaissance Fair. I highly highly recommend the fried cheesecake for dessert--it's worth stopping in just for that! Our drinks never got past half empty and when my husband finished his meal leaving most of his vegetables on the plate, the manager (it could have been the owner, I didn't ask) came out to check that they were cooked right. They were; it was simply that the steak was so large, he had no room for potatoes! Oh, another bonus: the menu is completely original! It is normal sandwiches and a large array of salads, but each one has a story written about it on the menu. We picked out our entrees quickly and spent the rest of the time reading over the menus for the stories. Highly original concept! Go, you won't regret it!
What a great experience! My Mama and I went there for her birthday and had a great time. Our Hibachi Chef, DD was super fun and did a great job on t…
I came here because of the high reviews this place has garnered on Yelp. I liked the food, but didn't see anything so out of the ordinary to give the place five stars. It seems to be a one man shop where you order at the counter and take out food. There are a few tables inside if you're inclined to eat there (as I was). I had fried chicken with pinto beans and cole slaw. They have a menu posted on a board next to the counter where you order. There were about eight or so main dishes and you get two sides with each main dish. The fried chicken was three wings. This was explained to me in advance and I should have probably chosen something else since wings don't have so much meat on them but I went ahead since I wanted fried chicken and hadn't had it for a while. It came out fresh from the cooker very hot, and was moist and pretty good. The beans and cole slaw were also good, but I didn't see anything special. I think this is just a very nice takeout place for southern style food with very reasonable prices (mine was $8.99).
I absolutely love this place. My husband and I go there at least twice a month...sometimes more when we can sneak in a lunch together. It is beautifully decorated, each table has a very intimate feeling to it, the wait staff is courteous and attentive, and the food is out of this world. I recommend the mountain salad with grilled salmon. Also, the reuben and the grilled portabella sandwich will be something you crave often.
