One of my friends recommended this place the other day at work. She had gone last weekend and raved - so we took the crew after our overnight shift today. So, we saw Looper at 2:00p. So, to begin the theater itself is very opulent and the architecture is really cool. It is definitely something different and kind of a breath of fresh air. It gets old seeing the same old thing in every theater you go to so kudos to the owners on that. The ticket counter staff was really sweet and explained everything to us (cool side note: they have a concessions stand in the lobby so in case you don't want to eat you can get popcorn and soda // wine and beer, too ^_^) The theater was really cool, too! Stadium seating (which I have only ever seen at Alamo Drafthouse) and super comfy chairs. They also put a rail on the floor so you don't crash into servers with your chair (watching out for the servers ;) )). We ordered a whole bunch of stuff - drinks were awesome! They have a fully stocked bar in the back that you come to even if you're not seeing a movie. And we got sliders, nachos, pizza and white chocolate nachos (whoa! to die for!) // all the food was really great! Our server was also super friendly and really took care of us // it really was different have such a great service in a movie theater setting - definitely rave about customer service! Technologically - they definitely have it all! Big screens and BASS - wow. It totally shook my insides (and I am a music major, so that's saying a lot!) This is for sure my favorite dine-in theater and the whole crew agreed! We have been to Studio Movie Grill, AMC Fork N Screen and Alamo Drafthouse -- and I only really ever liked Alamo Drafthouse. And now, I have 2 dine-in theaters I love // both different and both awesome! Go to this place -- highly recommended. Great food, great people and great service ^_^
I posted on Venetian Theater's Facebook page last night, saying that I wouldn't rule out the theater just yet and that I had great service last night. My post was deleted, and I can no longer post or comment on others' posts. The management team was fired Monday. I went to the theater on Monday and had horrible service. The servers didn't give drinks to people until 45 minutes into the movie, well after everyone had already eaten their food. Servers also forgot my boyfriend's and my drinks, and we had to wait quite a while to even reorder our drinks. However, I went to the theater again last night. Service was great. One server was using a tablet this time, so right after she took my drink, another server gave me my drink. Servers were really responsive. I do not know why management was fired. Sucks for them, but after the frantic switch, the theater seems to be under good control again. If fired management is still in control of the Facebook page, deleting my positive post doesn't make me sympathetic at all to them. It makes them seem like they want revenge. If they feel like they've been wronged, there are other ways to go about it. UPDATE: I received a message saying that I should consider the truth of the corruption. As of right now, the only side that has spoken is the pro-Packer side. This morning on the Venetian Facebook page, there was a comment on a post that said that the page is one-sided and that positive posts are being deleted. Sure enough, that whole post was deleted, too. I don't know what happened with the management switch, but what I do know is that I and other customers are being censored by pro-Packer people. THAT is corruption to me. I will continue to enjoy Venetian Theater with the new management.
Um, who told yelp they could take my review offline because they feel like it? I hate robot filters. This place is great! I am very happy to be the first person to review them :) I went last night to watch The Dark Knight. Not only is the atmosphere amazing but the staff is very genuine and full of energy. The architecture is like nothing I have ever seen in a movie theater - I have read that some people online think they are trying to be Studio Movie Grill, but they are not. They are completely different - different food, different drinks...just different! It reminds me of the passion people USED to put into projects, not like the sterile environments we see commonly today. There is stadium seating, so I can't see the people in front of me and the chairs are so squishy and comfortable (and they recline!). The food is very different and very delicious - I had the "Burgerator" and the fries were especially tasty. I know they just opened and they are working hard to put all the finishing touches on things, but it is obvious how much they care about what they are doing. Especially because it isn't some corporate giant, I am more willing to support it. And if you want BIG screens and BIG sound - this is the place! Kudos Venetian Theaters! I will be a life long customer and am telling all of my friends.
