Overpriced for a plain haircut! I paid $18 for a shampoo wash, then haircut, then shampoo wash again, and finally blow-drying, The shampoo wash wasn't necessary, let alone two, and therefore would not require blow-drying after. One expects when one enters a barber shop is barber-shop rates. $18 is something a hair salon would charge. Customer service is decent, but the price is steep. That's why the place is virtually empty on Saturday at noon. Who would want to pay $18 for a plain old haircut when they can get the same service elsewhere at a much lower price??

I call BS on StevieB's review. I have been going to Ed for years now; he has always been a courteous gentleman. Ed doesn't employ a 'girl' either. She is a more mature black woman, who gives an excellent haircut, btw. Ed has employed numerous AA barbers over the years. What Ed does not tolerate is people wanting special cuts or fancy hair stylings at the same price. It is a barber shop, not a boutique hair salon. It sounds like someone was a disgruntled customer and wanted to play the race card that is so popular in this era of Obama.
Great hair cut the right price. Enjoy the shampoo really feels good. Does not speak a lot of English but is a real artist when is come to cutting my hair and cuts it just the way I like it. Very friendly environment shop is cleaner than most shops that I have been in. I have no complaints and I am completely satisfied with there work.
