Dr. John Champlin  offers his expertise with over 30 years experience in family practice. Amber Emery-Esparza, physician assistant, also offers many years of experience as she has been practicing since 2008. She is passionate about discovering the root causes of illness and persistent to find solutions. Â
Emergency Care
Upon finishing he headed west again to conduct his residency at UC Davis and was then offered a position as an Assistant Clinical Professor, which he maintains today on a volunteer basis. Â Later he took a position as an Urgent Care and Family Practice Physician with Sutter. Â He then opted to purchase the practice from Sutter and founded Med Center Medical Clinic over 20 years ago. Â Med Center has become a multi-faceted practice that has taken care of generations of families and their medical needs. Â He remains board certified by the American Academy of Family Practice a well as the American Board of Disability Evaluators. Â
Electrocardiogram
We have a portable electrocardiogram unit, so we can perform an EKG in any room of the clinic. This test is quick and painless. The results are immediately read by your provider, but the EKG computer gives us an immediate overread as well. Note: We are able to do your pre-operative EKG and fax it over to your surgeon, if needed.

Amber earned her Bachelor's Degree from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where she studied Exercise Science and Sports Medicine. After a few years of coaching cross country and track at her alma mater, she decided to advance her education and pursue a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She completed her degree at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where she graduated with honors in 2008.
