If you want to torture yourself and your loved one, use Avalon. We required 24 hour care for our family member. This agency sent a caregiver to the home who was very ill and slept on the couch. Another caregiver bruised the ribs of the person they were caring for by being so rough, rolled cigerettes, and snuck shots of whiskey. The third caregiver actually slept on the couch while I was sitting in the front room, and did not wake up when our family member called out for help several times. The last one took it upon herself to steal a cell phone and rack up hundreds of dollars in charges. In the meantime, the agency over-billed on an invoice and it still has not been corrected. We have filed a report with the local police and have hired an attorney. Unfortunately, what my family has gone through I would not wish on any other. Please, stay away from this agency.
