Dr. Kewson completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and his internship in General Surgery at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center. He received his medical degree from Wayne State University having completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He has furthered his education to Fellowship status of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (FAAOA). Dr. Kewson has been practicing in Southeast Michigan since 2004 and is a founding partner of Southeast Michigan Ear Nose and Throat. He has published numerous research papers in the area of his specialty and has received multiple awards for his research and clinical training. His training included time at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, the Karmanos Cancer Institute and Detroit Receiving Hospital offering high-level tertiary care training in all aspects of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Kewson’s practice covers the full realm of adult and pediatric ear nose and throat disorders including conditions such as recurring ear infections, chronic tonsillitis, chronic sinusitis, snoring, sleep apnea, hearing loss, hoarseness, and dizziness. He has had extensive experience with adult and pediatric head and neck tumors including salivary gland, thyroid and parathyroid, and cancers of the aerodigestive tract. He serves on the head and neck tumor board at Oakwood and has received advanced training in computer-assisted sinus surgery. He also has an interest in reconstruction following treatment of facial skin cancers.
