Root Canal Treatment
Your teeth should never cause you pain or discomfort, but if you experience severe or constant tooth pain, that is your body signaling you that something is wrong. Many times, tooth pain is sign of infection that has penetrated the protective enamel and is affecting the nerves and pulp inside the tooth. If infection is untreated, it can spread to surrounding teeth, cause tooth loss, and in extreme instances, even spread to other parts of your body, like your heart or brain. In order to treat this infection, we perform root canal therapy, which cleanses the interior of your tooth and restores it to proper function. Our team includes an endodontist on staff, who has exceptional training and specialization in root canal therapy and treatment of the interior of the tooth. For this reason, we have become specialists in saving teeth.

Gingivectomy and Gingivoplasty
Infected gum tissue can be removed with a gingivectomy by evaporating infected gum tissue with laser dentistry. The laser light will gently remove infected gums with minimal bleeding and no need for scalpels.
Deep Cleaning
After you have been treated for gum disease, you will need to receive routine periodontal maintenance. This procedure includes a deep cleaning of your teeth and gums, including scaling and root planing to ensure that all bacteria is removed and does not re-develop into gum disease. Periodontal maintenance will need to be performed every three months to stay effective and keep you healthy.

This is typically due to jaw bone deterioration from lack of stimulation of the bone, making the jaw line uneven. Graduated from Boston University School of Dentistry in 1992. Practiced as a general dentist in Boston from 1992-1994. Received his special training in Periodontics and dental implants from The New Jersey Dental School along with his Master’s degree in 1997. Dr. Ghazi has been on the faculty of Harvard School of Dental Medicine since 1998 where he teaches clinical periodontics and dental implants to the post-graduate residents. Dr. Ghazi has been practicing periodontics and dental implants in the Boston area since 1997. Dr. Ghazi is a Diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology.

Oral Surgery
Osseous Surgery
When you are affected by periodontitis, we may need to perform osseous surgery. Our team will gently cut back gum tissue to access infected areas of the teeth and gums. We will then smooth out your tooth roots and reshape any jaw bone areas damaged from the disease. Your gums will then be sutured around your teeth again and allowed to heal in their proper position.
Tooth Extractions
Wisdom teeth normally begin to grow during a patient’s teenage years in the back of their mouth. These wisdom teeth often do not have proper space to grow in and can cause crowding of surrounding teeth or become impacted within the jaw bone. When this occurs, patients often experience tooth pain and can have trouble eating or notice a change to their bite. By performing wisdom teeth extraction, we can surgically remove these problem teeth and restore your mouth to a healthy, harmonious state.
Ridge Augmentation
Most bone grafting treatments are performed along the jaw ridge where the teeth reside. When bone loss occurs, this creates an uneven foundation and can often cause surrounding teeth to shift and change the bite. Ridge augmentation places bone grafting granules at the site of bone loss along your jaw ridge and utilizes GTR techniques to hold them in place under your gum tissue. The gums are then sutured over top of the graft. Once healed, ridge augmentation will create an even and stable foundation of bone, allowing dental implants to be placed and preventing further deterioration.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting in Canton, MA, involves taking a sample of bone tissue from you or a donor source and converting it into sand-like granules. These granules are then packed at the site of bone loss and allowed to heal. Once healed, the bone granules will fuse to your surrounding bone tissue and restore the volume to adequate levels. For most bone grafting procedures, we will perform guided tissue regeneration (GTR) techniques to ensure that the treatment heals effectively. The GTR process involves protecting your bone graft while it heals using a biocompatible mesh. This prevents gum tissue from interfering with the bone graft and allows it to heal to the proper volume.

Orthodontics
Dr. Michelle Yuching Chou is a Diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics and faculty member in Developmental Biology and Orthodontics at Harvard University. She received her dental degree from National Taiwan University. Subsequently she completed a two-year general practice residency at National Taiwan University Hospital. After working as a general dentist for three years in Taipei, Dr. Chou matriculated at the Harvard School of Public Health where she received a Masters of Public Health. She then obtained a DDS from New York University, where she graduated with honors in orthodontics and in research. She was also bestowed with the FD Weiss Certificate for highest scholastic achievement, the Botkin Memorial Award for outstanding achievements in orthodontics, and the Rudner Memorial Award for superior performance in comprehensive clinical care. Dr. Chou was also inducted into the National Dental Honor Society (OKU). She received postdoctoral orthodontic specialty training and Doctor of Medical Sciences in Oral Biology from Harvard University.

Porcelain veneers are thin shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth to cover up imperfections. On the first visit, our team will use a handheld intraoral camera to capture images of your teeth to assist in the creation of the porcelain veneers and ensure that they provide an ideal fit. She received her DMD degree from Boston University graduating with Honors and returned to our practice as a General Dentist. Dr. Shreyer is a member of American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society and Academy of General Dentistry. She is certified Invisalign provider. Dr. Shreyer believes in continuing education to stay up to date in providing patients with the best treatment dentistry can offer. Besides her passion for dentistry, Dr. Shreyer enjoys swimming, skiing and traveling with her family.
