I would advise ANYONE to not ever deal with this funeral home! I and my family have known the new, present owner and his family all of my life, and I never thought that this person could be so dishonest and uncaring but he is!!! My father had originally planned for this funeral home to carry out his funeral whenever he passed away, but we have since taken our business elsewhere in a manner of speaking, after catching this guy in a BIG LIE and deception! This person expects the vast majority of people to not know much about the business of funeral homes (which most of us don't), and he milks that for everything it's worth. He thinks he's an expert, and everyone else is just naive and gullible and will believe anything they are told. He took advantage of my father because he knew my dad would not question him and would believe whatever he was told. This person takes advantage of the weak and elderly and he has absolutely no respect! He's a fake and a phony - pretending to care when he doesn't at all. It's all about the almighty dollar to him.
I guess I cannot go into all the sordid details here, but I would advise those planning a funeral to do research BEFORE they or their loved one passes away. You need to know your RIGHTS AND OPTIONS, and you don't have to let some dishonest, greedy funeral home owner sucker you into paying outrageous sums of money for things you don't need. Trust me, they will milk you for all they can when you are grieving and most vulnerable! Also, NEVER EVER make them the beneficiary of an insurance policy!!!!! That's another trick they often employ. Don't do it! Take my advice and do your research and planning EARLY! REMEMBER THIS, TOO: funeral homes often change ownership, and the new owners may not honor contracts made with the previous owners. Steer clear of this place!
