Impressed! We've eaten at some of "THE" places people reccommended to eat in downtown Grand Rapids and thought to road trip a bit (about 15-20 minutes from our weekend getaway hotel downtown). We happen to be there for the Thursday Night Rib Special. I love GREAT ribs and have too often been disappointed when ordering at a new place. Seeing the special at another diner's table... they looked so tender, just came away from the bone. So I ordered them and am happy to say that they were even better than I expected. Tasty rib meat done just right, sauce not too sweet, not too loose, not too sticky... it was just right. From appetizer to the shrimp my hubby had... the food was perfectly cooked and came to the table hot (timed perfectly so the appetizer was just finished). I took a fabulous mushroom burger to go as I love mushrooms and couldn't resist trying it (saw another diner with it after my ribs came and asked what it was). It was friendly place with obvious repeat diners as often people took a minute to chat at another table. We were a step up from casual not knowing what to expect and saw diners dressed in everything from nice jeans to professionally dressed afterwork crowd. Families were there too. I personally thought it might be a bit much for an infant or toddler as it is fairly close in seating, at times a bit noisy and busy. That is the only reason a four star. well actually one other thing bothered me about the place. As you sat eating your dinner as good as it was, you saw food come out of the kitchen that made you desire to come back and try that next time. Looks like there is going to be more next times for us for sure.
Oh and don't forget the little store across the street. The deli was nice. Since we were full and couldn't fit dessert in after dinner, we picked up something sweet there for later. They told us that the little restaurant seating there has breakfast and lunch. Now all that little burg called Cannonsburg needs is a hotel with room service from the Inn for our next getaway.

Food is great especially their pasta and shrimp dishes>> But if your lucky enough to be there for their Scalops and Pasta Well you will want to go back again and again>> This is one to place on your list to go back to.
