Pay the extra money and take him to your local Vet. Only would I recommend Angels for Animals would be if someone had found an unwanted animal and could not care for it themselves. Other then that, I took my 17 month old male pup Dylan to get fixed at Angels for Animals. When I first called and inquired about the once a year spayed and neuter your pets month, they gave me the wrong information and scheduled me. Now please understand, Although many of my family members have pets I am a first time pet owner. I was very disappointed when I first dropped off Dylan. One was for the horrible smell, the not so cleanliness, and how many pets were getting dropped off in one day to get fixed. As i was thinking about it I should have turned around but I didn't, a lesson learned. Again, to my disappointment and my husbands when we pick up Dylan, smell was even worse, they bring Dylan out with no E-Collar(Don't ask if we wan't one), no meds to take home,He was dirty like he rolled around in a dirty kennel and he also go his Hernia removed that was not completed well. We asked about the E-collar and was told that if we felt he needed one later one could be purchased at Walmart. Wow!! So needless to say, it was like being up with a newborn baby. I was sick to my stomach all night long and to the very next day. I felt there was something wrong with Dylan and called are regular local Vet and they had us come in right away. They were as shocked as I to see that he was not provided with an E-collar. Dylan is a 5pound Shih-Tzu/Maltese Mix, playful little guy that should have had one one. On top of all that he was in so much pain.. Thanks to my Vet they gave him Antibiotics, pain meds, E-COLLAR, and more... Like I said, it was a lesson learned, but a very hard one.I can go on and on about my experience. So happy Dylan is going to be okay. He is Our family now and has brought so much life into this home.
