While they may have had good intentions, I felt this program has failed my family. They have allowed my husband to substitue them for alcohol to escape real life. They take care of him, he has no responsibilities and is not being encouraged to be a responsible parent. They make being a deadbeat parent and human being very easy. I have seen no indication from my husband that they follow AA as claimed. He has shown no regret for the damage and pain he has caused his family with his irresponsible behavior. Addiction is not a free pass from right and wrong. He knew what he was doing with the choices he made.
